The Perils of Blogging

I'm sure people have stories of being harassed in their comment boxes, being verbally abused in tagboards, had their layouts ripped off, etc.

Share your stories here and let me now how you were able to deal with them.

And as for me, I don't really have issues now.
But do check out my blog: http://marla.grungezombie.net

and this pre-pubescent dweeb who tries to mimick every layout I upload.

It annoys the hell out of me, and this girl used to write in Tagalog, but apparently decided to switch to English. She's doing a good job in bastardizing the language. :yuck:

  • i love your layout. :) don't worry, her's looks nothing like yours.
  • Your layout is definitely awesome. I like it a lot! :)

When I was younger, around two years ago, I had this weblog. Being inexperienced, immature, and being just plain angry at the world (I was only twelve or thirteen years old at that time, and what an angsty teen I was!), my blog wasn't really something to look at. In fact, now that I think about it, it was mostly filled with pointless rantings, because it was the perfect outlet for an introvert like me. However, some people kept flaming and flooding my guestbook with stuff like "I hate you", "You're weird", and some cuss words. Those messages flooded up nearly the entire guestbook. At that time, I didn't know why people were flaming me. I didn't know those people. Some were nicer and gave me some tips on writing a blog, and told me that it wasn't that nice to be brutally frank, even if I was writing my inner thoughts, because after all, my blog was public and people could read them. I learned my lesson, and toned down my entries, but people still continued posting those "I hate you"s.

I gave up on my blog soon after and closed it down. A few years later, I made a new blog, though. The only thing is, I closed it down again when I lacked the time to write.

In 2003, I set up a new blog, and to this day, it's still up and running. This time, I'm not giving up on it. Even if I may go on hiatus for a few months or so, I won't close it down just because I have no time to update it. And I think I've learned my lesson now.

I'd appreciate it if people visited my blog at
http://onewingangel.pitas.com
. Any comments and constructive criticism would be much appreciated. I know I'm not exactly the most mature person in the world, I do tend to write about trivial matters, and my grammar isn't all that perfect, but please do tell me what you think about it.
