Saka parang may nabasa ako dati nung bago pa lang dating si Junemar dito sa manila at maglalaro sya sa SMB sa ABL, ang una daw nyang sinabi sa trainer nya is "teach me how to beat Slaughter". Parang ganun. Nabasa ko lang sa twitter yata. Di ko lang sure if totoo.
Anyways, it doesn't matter now.
Its the word of 1 vs the other. People tend to be subjective due to personal preferences and biases. BUT NUMBERS DO NOT LIE!
I have posted their statistical records while still playing in CESAFI and June Mar was way ahead. Even when pitted against each other in the PCCL, where everybody expected Slaughter to dominate Fajardo owing to his experience playing in the UAAP and training under Black and Toroman...the latter was able to hold his own against the former despite the perceived advantages of Greg's teams.
Let's forget Greg and Junemar's college accomplishments. What's important now is how they will fare in the big league. We've already seen Junemar's. And honestly, I think he's way better now compared to Greg. But as of this moment, we can't say much about Greg because he's only played a game in the PBA. We cannot judge yet if his game has improved or not based on his 1st game alone. Kay Junemar? Well, the guy is a monster.
When was the last time we've seen a 6-9 and above player dominate the league like he does? If my memory serves me right, it was during Taulava's heyday pa. Kahit sila Marlou, EJ Feihl, Andy Seigle or Yancy De Ocampo hindi ganito ka-mamaw ang laro. They can't even average double-digits in rebounding. I do hope Greg becomes like Junemar, or at least close to what he is right now. But if he doesn't, ok lang. So long as he helps the team go to the finals, ok na saken yun.
I have a couple of cebuano friends who watch greg and junemar play during cesafi days and they said that greg played better against junemar.
Kabaligtaran ng ginawa ni Fajardo dahil nag-player of the year pa sya sa first PCCL stint nya.
Greg is making a BIG difference for Ginebra. Opens up everybody. It also helps that Ginebra has an LA Tenorio.
With Greg inside as well as Aguilar, their teammates confidence in taking their outside shots knowing somebody will get that offensive rebounds and making a putbacks.

Not only that, the defense focuses on them too much that it leaves shooters open. tapos kung mag close out drive and dish naman to Bigmen...

well for GREG SLAUGHTER,in his arrival on ginebra team,he make a BIG DIFFERENCE,grabeh halimaw sa loob at sa depensa daming blocks, para syang si chris alexander nung 2008,aanjan pa si japeth at jr na tumutulong sakanya, its exciting ang match up nila ni junmar hehehe, dito si greg totoong masusubukan.good luck

I remember when I used to watch san miguel team led by DI and DS with Racela, Hontiveros and Pena. Lot:) of options in offense and at the same time solid in defense. Ginebra and Petron will meet on Christmas Day. What a date.:D

Ginebra did make a good choice drafting Greg. Nung hindi pa nag sisimula ang draft a lot of ginebra fans are rooting to get Ian Sanggalang. Ian is a good player but Greg is the one they need right now plus click na click ang tandem ni greg at japeth. Swerte ng Ginebra to have this two players.
Bakit ba pinagtatalunan pa ito? I'm a Ginebra Fan pero kitang kita naman na yung Fajardo ang lamang dito, 1st of all when it comes to experience lamang kagad si JF jan, and being in the PBA for more than a year his improvement is really big IMO. Sa tingin ko kasi Ginebra doesn't need a Fajardo clone in Slaughter, ok na yung 1st priority nya is rebounding he's a perfect role player at playing D in the shaded lane and swatting shots but Greg won't become a JF IMO. Isa pa JF is becoming the main man of PBB kundi lang dahil sa isang choker na parang ayaw bitawan ang trono nya But when you look at Greg and Ginebra we can say that Slaughter won't become a main man there specially with MC47,La & Japeth there. This debate is going nowhere since the clear winner here is Fajardo.

But based on the first 2 games, and if Slaughter continues to get these same type of numbers, we can say that nasapawan na ni Slaughter yun numbers ni Fajardo in the 1st conference...
Because Fajardo wasn't getting the numbers he is producing now in a consistent basis during his first 2 conference in the PBA...
Which brings us to what Toroman said..
