what makes your school better..........

what makes your school better than others?i graduated from up diliman and the 'it' factor in my school is the selectivity of its student population.lots of valedictorians and salutatorians choose 'up'.it offers the most technical courses to wrack up your brains down the wire.'up' has the best and the brightest!

  • Ikaw na ang graduate ng UPd.
  • This thread has "flamebait" written all over it.

The way the TS speaks (posts/writes) makes me doubt that he got good English from UP Diliman. That is if he is from UPD.

    anima9 I ignore idiots :)
Well, this guy generally hates all schools based on what I've been reading. He's been posting on how he is a UP Maroon for at least 2 years now.

kung may HRM pala sa U.P., di hamak na mas matalino pa pala sila sa mga engineering students ng PUP pagdating sa math. Sila pala kasi mga brightest eh.
  • ^That's too much of a generalization to make. It doesn't mean that if you're from UP, you're good at all things. I bet there are lots of non-UP students that are better than some UP students in different fields.

But, I guess you we're just trying to make a point against this 1958mb180d guy. I don't like him, either.

(UP student here. But I also disdain fellow Iskos that act like that guy)
  • A typical "my school is better than your school" post. Like you, that is if you're telling the truth, I also passed UP Diliman but I'm not looking straight to that whole school prestige matter. I'm happy on where I am now because, primarily, I'm getting the quality education I want. I never regretted dumping your UP nor have i been bothered for such decision. Above all, I had existentially freed myself from being a conformist--letting all those social structures influence my own being's decision. I followed the very desire that was flowering within me. Per se, I need not to have that It factor of the school because I know I have it inside me.

I happened to know one female student from UPD (polsci major I think). She just transferred this year and all i can say is that not all UP students are bright; nonetheless, I admire all my UP professors.:p

i started this thread very late last night while i was trying to pay my bills online.if my english did not quite meet the standard your mind is set on,you have a problem.as far as i know,my birthplace is honolulu, hawaii, went to brent baguio through grade 12 and 'up' (with permission)for college.i'm employed by the state of california government, living in palo alto and ritzy white residents here are never meticulous on how their native language is spoken and you are 'so very' on 'their/my' language that is not even your 'own'.it's simple-you only have to remember your native language is 'tagalog' and keep an eye on that,'just that'.
  • Basta agree ang vast majority na ang La Salle ay bulok.

    Nuff said.
  • ^ How stereotypical. Have you even studied there? I bet not.

Okay. So, you've established that you're from UP and you have good English. (And that I should remember my native language)

Now, stop exuding arrogance and making threads that only lead to bashing.
