AFC set to open on March 1 2020 and Ginebra is serious to get this elusive title. Curiously how SMB will bounce back from a halted quest of a Grandslam. TNT is making a guard oriented team with shooting, speed and free flowing offense, how they will fair with teams with balance line up like SMC teams and even indie teams. This time without imports, how will NLEX and Meralco compete in this coming conference.Maybe they can compete with Erram at Nlex and if Almazan recover in time for Meralco. Will Abueva finally allowed to play at Phoenix I hope so.
Before the Phil. Cup its a very exciting off-season, rumors of big trades make us guessing, but I think defending champ SMB will still be the team to beat with new gov. cup champion BGSM. New Rookies that will be displaying their talents.
SMB parin to.
Exciminiano career in limbo after suffering injury in 'ligang labas' game
THIS is one major lesson for PBA players who continue to suit up in so-called ‘ligang labas' games in violation of league rules.
Rain or Shine guard Ping Exciminiano suffered a ruptured Achilles
tendon while playing in a ligang labas game two weeks ago and will
likely miss the coming 45th PBA season.
Unfortunately, the mishap happened days before the 31-year-old guard
was supposed to sign a new, two-year contract with Rain or Shine.
Sources privy to the incident said Exciminiano was with two other PBA
players who saw action in the tournament reportedly organized by former
PBA player Leo Avenido.
Text messages and calls made to Rain or Shine have yet to be answered as of post time.
“In principle na 'yung agreement nila for a new contract and ilang
araw na lang pipirma na siya. Kaya lang nangyari nga yung insidente.
Kaya ngayon naka-hold lahat,” said a source close to the Rain or Shine
team.
The PBA restricts players from playing in ‘ligang labas’ unless it has the blessing of their respective mother ballclubs.
