Nung asa singapore immigration na kami pinapakuha ako nung friends ko ng embarkation card so kumuha ako then pag kakuha na pag kakuha ko may mga lumapit na sakin na Immigration Officer and then they asked me to go with them sa office. Hayz.

Walang problema kung umalis ka ng singapore on your scheduled date pabalik ng Pinas. Magkakaroon lang ng red flag on you if it would appear na visa run ang ginawa mo sa JB. That is, sinabi mo sa IO na aalis ka ng SG on the date stamped on your ticket, pero di mo ginamit ang ticket mo at nagstay ka pa sa SG for another month. You would have lied to them already and that is registered in their system.

Next time bumalik ka as a tourist, the IO will see all your travel info in SG including IO notes sa JB border.Β

Kapag may indication na nag-visa run ka, you need a very good and convincing justification. They can deny you entry based only on suspicion that you will not stay as a tourist (e.g. job hunter/illegal worker, prostitute).

Job hunting during visits and visa runs are not illegal per se but they can be grounds for denial of entry.

You were in SG for at least 27 days. Ganyan ang style ng mga jobseekers. They'll make the most of the 30-day visa free entry, leave for Malaysia to do a visa run before the time is up, and then re-enter SG to "reset" their starting date. Kaya naging suspicious yung SG IO kasi kabisado nila yung "style" na 'yan. In your case, ang tagal ng stay mo (way longer than a typical tourist, since maliit lang ang SG in terms of land area), which is why they think you are overstaying kahit hindi naman.

Technically, you did not overstay kasi may 3 days pa na natitira sa visa mo. RE Record, most likely yes (more of a note to your record).

Hehe kinakabahan po kasi ako although I won't be going back in Singapore any time soon, yung nakakakabang part is the record sakin

Yung pinupuntahan ko po kasi sa SG is my friends although with this experience I won't be going back to Singapore anytime soon kasi di ko rin gusto yung pakikitungo nung IO non sakin.Β

I usually make the most out of my days na allowed in the country especially since I was with friends and dun ako nakastay sa kanila. Lately ko lang din nalaman na ganun nga daw ang ginagawa nung mga job seekers especially pinoys thats why ganun nalang din yung nangyare sakin pero the IO was really rude as if may ginawa akong super laking krimen and meron naman akong return ticket and everything.

Β At first they gave me 5 more days nilagay nila sa may Embarkation Card ko then feeling ko naasar sakin yung isang IO kasi tanong sya ng tanong kung nag hahanap ako ng work and of course deny ako kasi hindi naman talaga so yung 5 days Visa ko sa EC naging 3 days nalang ulit which is no problem to me at all considering na meron na nga akong return flight and I wasn't planning on staying or extending my trip.

Nothing to worry naman pala esp your not going back any time soon naman pala. 😊😊😊

We cannot fully blame the IO for this kasi sobrang dami ng gumagawa ng "u-turn" sa SG and it is not exclusive to Filipinos.

Blame the people who abused the SG system.

    Indonesians and Pinoys esp.

Ung U turn, common strategy nga yan. I did that sa Malaysia naman pero I was on a business trip sa employer ko and they needed to extend my 30 days visit in Malaysia so my Malaysian boss and I went to SG for 2 days then back to Malaysia for a reset. After the 30 days is about to expire again, my employer wants to extend it again but I refused outright. Di ma gets ng Malaysian boss ko ung issue, because it's technically legal (btw, Malaysian passport is quite powerful in fairness). Thankfully, wala naman ganap nung nag exit ako kahit obvious ung 30 days Malaysia - 2 days SG - 30 days Malaysia.

Let's just say that the 2 day trip to Singapore offered by your boss to reset your stay is the cheaper and faster option. It would cost them more if they will ask you to apply for a visa that allows you to stay longer than 30 days. Good that you refused. I am also not encouraging anyone to do this even if it's technically legal. Magiging mas mahigpit lalo ang immigration policies and ang border guards since they see that this is being abused.

We can't expect IOs to be nice in this situation. Marami na kasi ganitong cases in the past and profiled na ito. Unfortunately, sumakto ka sa profile na yun. Yung pagiging firm and assertive nila sa iyo is to make it very clear that they do not tolerate these cases. Let's just say ikaw ang nasampolan, and alam nila that you will tell your story and that may help them discourage others who are planning to do the same.
