Depende po kung nasaan ka at kung saan ka pwede madala ng pera mo. Can you be more clear? If tagalog lang kaya mo maintindihan so I guess i's safe to assume na you're from Region 3 or 4 or Manila?

Suggestions will follow after you tell us if saan ka po umuuwi, ang hirap po mag suggest if di alam if saan kayo nakatira :)

Get a good score muna sa NMAT, then check which schools are willing take you in. Tsaka ka na magtanong dito. Baka kasi mag suggest kami ng Silliman (for example), eh hindi naman pwede ang score mo duon.

About your inability to speak Visayan, wala namang problema iyan. The people you'll be surrounded with mostly have at least college degrees, expect they're fluent in Tagalog/Taglish.

so which one is it? Region 3 or 4?

If Region 3, I can only  suggest Angeles University Foundation. That is (so far) the reputable school I know who offers Medicine program.

For Region 4, well, De La Salle Health Sciences, my mom graduated there.
  • Hello I'm sorry pero I just really have to ask, nagddiscriminate ba ang top medschools kung san ka grumaduate for premed?? Majority kasi ng mga nakikita ko na natatanggap sa target schools ko ay either ADMU/UP/DLSU/UST grad huhu..

^ Yes. Kung hindi ka with latin honors or topnotcher PLUS mataas ang NMAT score, usually hindi ka priority iaccept kapag ganun.

Some say those top schools are doing it to maintain the quality of their students pero I'd say they're playing it safe.

Isipin mo nalang kung magaling ka talaga, kahit sa isang maliit state university ka lang na med school, you will surely succeed and even top the board exams. Don't waste your family's resources dahil lang gusto mong mag aral sa isang prestigious med school.

I agree. Well, i-research mo nalang mabuti yung mga med schools na cheap pero can deliver good education. Sometimes, those prestigious school, aside sa quality of education and graduates, networking din yung isa sa magagandang nakukuha at naaipon don.

PLM is one of the best schools in medicine, yet they are cheap(compared to others), try mo nalang there.

And yes, you really have to score really good sa NMAT in order to get in, or kung mayconnection kayo sa school. Pero syempre it;s better if it's the former

Start your search looking at board exam performance. Limit yourself to top 10 med schools or to those with consistent 90-100% passing rate.
