Retirement Pay vs Separation Pay? Difference?

Hello guys, anu po ba ang pinag kaiba ng retirement pay sa separation pay, nag wowork ako sa isang BPO company dito sa alabang, matagal na ako sa company na iyon, 8 years na to be exact, maganda naman ang benefits naiisip ko lang paano pag tumagal ako dun hanggang sa 60 years old? meron ba akong makukuhang retirement pay? iba pa ba yun sa separation pay? Pa enlighten naman po

Kung tatagal ka diyan hanggang 60 yo, iisahin nila iyan. Pero kung hindi ka aabot diyan, usually ito ang pinagkaiba nila:

1. Retirement Pay: may mga companies na based ito sa monthly pay mo multiplied by the number of years na nandyan ka sa company. Ang iba, may kasama pang service incentive (cash bonus based on how long you stayed).

2. Separation Pay: unpaid salary and allowances, unused VLs and SLs, prorated 13th mo, tax refund, any employee stock purchase program,  ans service incentive. Kung forced termination ang nangyari, they will be compelled to pay you more, minimum ata sa Labor Code ay one month's wage. Ibabawas dito kung may mga unpaid loans ka sa company and SSS. 


Check your job contract or with HR kasi it varies per company.
