Should you give up meat or can you give up meat for the sake of health?

Hindi daw healthy ang taong mahilig kumain ng karne,pero hindi ba masarap rin namang kumain ng karne,hindi ko yata kayang hindi kumain ng karne or nahirapan akong hindi kumain ng karne.Sa tingin niyo ba lahat ng vegetarian ay healthy or lahat ng kumakain ng karne ay hindi healthy?Diba maganda rin yung may balance?Yung hindi puro meat at hindi rin puro vegetables.Kasi ang meat nagbibigay ng protein.

    ^You have to understand that despite that meat gives you protein, red meats has all that bad fats that can result to high cholesterol that can ruin your heart.

    There are other sources of protein like egg and beans and you don;t have to worry about saturated fats. 

    I couldn't give up meat, but I can control my intake of it.

    Some people are naturally born poor in the head. LOL. 

    Please help yourself by reading good books and hanging out with smart people. That will enrich your life.

    Kapag hindi na kumakain ng lahat ng karne..Baka naging vegetarian na ang isang tao..Ako kumakain pa ren ng karne kaya lang ang talagang na mi-missed ko ay ang karneng baka..mga PRIME STEAKS..dahil kapag kumain ako nito? magpe-flare ang aking GOUT dahil sobra sobra ang URIC ACID nito at pati na lahat ng lamang loob..di ako puwede...pero Pork at poultry meat products ayos ako...yung mga Mongo beans? Hilahod ako diyan..kaya hindi ko kinakain ang karneng baka ngayon baka next time? in moderation puwede!

    i know some vegetarians, wala naman different sa kanila, but then the acivity they had for the day is like the normal routine of work and chores at home, i didnt ask if they do work out or do strenous physical tasks.

    tbh, ive tried this coz im an animal lover, and since there were plenty of choices kasi, may non meat restos here similar to Bodhi, then there are meat substitutes, may meat like products, although the taste are similar, but they tweak it some, like the sausages are more spicy, the burgers are charcoaled flavored, meat loaf is like with ketchup, pero may similar after taste kang nalalasahan.

    some also do soya, protein shake, nuts, and other non meat high protein diet.

    pero for some reason, para kong nanghihina, i dont know if its psychological or parang withdrawal syndrome, since sanay ka all your life ro eat meat, then bigla mo dineprive yung sarili mo.

    i tried pescatarian, pero nakakasawa din yung fish lagi, and di talaga sya bagay sa menudo, kare kare, etc.

    well minimum pwede naman, mas madami yung sahog na guiay kesa karne, youd just need to add more spices, ako broth, yung swanson, and mccormick para magkalasa.

    oo wala ka ngang masyadong meat, may cubes, vetsin, asin, patis or sinigang powder ka naman, ganun din, unhealrhy pa rin.

    gulay talaga with little meat is a better option.

    We're generally  pescetarian at home with just some pansahog (lean cube pork, no ginisa mixes /chicken cubes, etc) as exception once in a while. But I do eat meat when I go to a buffet or in handaan.

    I won't give up meat. I love steaks, ribs and barbeques. I love pork sinigang, kaldereta, bulalo, morcon, osso bucco, gyros, tocino, mechado, inihaw na liempo, pork binagoongan, kare-kare etc... I have a vegetarian officemate. Madaling mapagod at laging mahina. LOL
    Those veggie meat like burgers or steaks made from chick peas and whatnots won't substitute the taste of real meat. It's all in moderation really. You can still stay healthy without giving up meat.

    Kung napaka-unhealthy ng meat, bakit tayo naging omnivore? 

    Nag try ako maging pescetariann for 3 mos dati, pumayat ako. Paano ba naman kasi, tilapia and bangus lang marami dito sa Manila, the rest mahal na. :lol:

    A diet that restricts me from eating anything will never ever work. No something basically makes me feel deprived. Moderation is more realistic. Less of the stuff that doesn't match your body type and lifestyle/exercise habits. I'm ok with fish and chicken as my main meats. Beef and pork minsan lang, and depends sa luto.

    So far!, sa ngayon ayoko munang tumikim ng PORTERHOUSE STEAK O RIB EYE, o T-BONE..sa madaling salita yung karne ng baka,,,kasi rich sa URIC ACID..bawal sa aking GOUT..ibang klaseng isda gaya ng SARDINES whoahh! patay tayo diyan pero pork anf chicken ok lang!

    Kung mura ang gulay kesa sa karne siguro kakayanin ko. Kaso ang mahal maging healthy ngayon lalo na pag ikaw lang mag-isa. :lol: Nasasayang ang pagkain sa akin pag nagluluto ako.

    ^ Same thing with me. All the preps I have to do before I could cook makes me lose my appetite na. Hindi naman masarap i-store ang lutong gulay sa fridge. And I'm bad at portions. I really don't have the cook's mentality.

    Mahusay kaya ang karne rito sa amin. Linggo-linggo kami naghahanda ng t-bone steak. Napakasarap! At topnotch protein source pati!

    Malakas din kami sa salad at gulay kaya balanse ang aming kain!

    You can reduce some of the saturated fats depending on your cooking method. Ako, I always fry meat muna then pinapatuyo ko hanggang maalis yung fats. That's always my first step before cooking the meat, mapa sinigang, tinola, ginataan o stew man yan.

    Naging fake news kasi na ang dietary fat ay may kinalaman sa body fat. Ang totoo walang kinalaman. Ang mga Innuit ay high fat diet pero mababa ang cardiovascular disease sa kanila kumpara sa mga nasanay sa pagkaing kanluran.
