The 2019 PBA Draft is set on December 08, 2019, even before the end of the Governors' Cup.

    Some alterations in the rule:

    1.  Reduction of number of D-League games for Fil-For rookie applicants from 14 to 9 games. Local talents will remain to have 7 D-League games as requirement.

    2.  Players who have suited up for the Gilas national team will be exempted from the minimum number of D-League games.

    3.  Players who are 27 years old and above are exempted from the minimum number of D-League games.

    4.  The minimum age for players is 21 years old. But exemptions can be made if the player has graduated from college (won't happen because of K-12) and if a player is less than 21 years old but has played for Gilas already plus at least 7 games in the D-League.

One would wonder though how the PBA would classify participating in the 3x3? Is that considered Gilas participation?

#4 should go well for the Flying A's nephew RJ Abarrientos who's been making noise in the 3x3 scene, ineligibile for juniors basketball already but not even a high school graduate yet, dunno how old he is (probably 20 or+) but obviously why won't he just go straight to the pros since he can't even hoop in the collegiate level yet

#3 should augur well for Jason Brickman, the prototypical "27 year-old" Fil-Am "rookie"

#2 for Kobe Paras if he decides to turn "pro", again
