Mega Manila Subway, first in the Philippines!

Kent_210Kent_210 Member PEx Guru 🎖️🎖️

Back to subway, first phase ay matatapos sa 2021, full completion in 2025. Funded ng JICA (Japan). Cost is about $4.5B.

    it is too EDSAccentric.

why does it have to connected with EDSA? it is connected with EDSA at two points, North Central Terminal and East Ave. Terminal.

it will just funnel more foot traffic at the SM/Trinoma area. they should have connected this with NLEX to divert people away to EDSA.

the route should have been Valenzuela, NLEX, Congressional Ave., Visayas Ave., Central Ave., UP Diliman, CP Garcia Ave., Katipunan Ave. then all the way to the NAIA airport. consider it as a NORTH to SOUTH or C5 subway.

if you would look at the proposed route it will pass through narrow roads between East Ave-Anonas-Katipunan and C5-Ortigas-C5.

simply said, the route should have been parallel with the C5 ROAD instead of diverting it to former PRIVATE PROPERTIES or DONATED SUBDIVISION roads.

although there is some logic with gearing away from the West Valley Fault along C5 Road. he he .... boo hooo for those working at Eastwood City, Rockwell and Capitol Commons.

that is the only reason i could see why they have to connect with direct within the Ortigas Center and BGC.

you dont understand the problem at EDSA. it is over saturated. instead of locating stations need EDSA they should create an alternate route that would decrease the need to use EDSA. passenger travelling from North to South wouldnt need to use the inner circumferential road C4 because they have a faster access to the C5 road.

there other proposed MRT routes these are located parallel to the radial roads like Shaw Blvd which will connect the circumferential routes.

    agree on this one.

if you would remember the presidential debates last election, MARstermind Roxas was for the construction of a elevated expressway and a second MRT on top of EDSA. sobrang EDSAcentric. ganyan ka incompetent si Roxas at ganyan siya ka KORAKOT dahil ayaw siyang kausapin ng mga HAPON. the best example are the Diayan trains, brouhaha.

as per AB NOY kaya nga ABNoymal .... eh.

but i would still insist the route is zigzagging rather than taking the straight route of C5 road. siguradong magkakaproblema sa Road Right of Way ito subway. research na lang ninyo yun mga proposed radial MRTs which is meant to connect the circumferential MRTs. the MRT 8 was supposed to be a radial MRT which would originate from Commonwealth Ave and end at the Old Bilibid Prison.

Nice. Looks like SMRT in Sg. I hope there are also plans for more lines in the future.

This will be a great infrastructure in Manila. I hope this materializes soon.

kulang yung pics, where are the rugby boys, pickpockets, and illegal stalls in the underground stations, this report is a lie...

looks good... but i remember when i was in Ny and this was already late spring, it was hot in those underground stations, so therell be a lot of airconditioning needed for our own subway..

but if it can be done, by all means.

Ipapa bid ng DOTr the rest of the project.

Problema nito, pag nagbago ang administrasyon sa 2022, nanganganib na baka ibasura ang proyekto na ito especially if it affects the country's financial standing. Liberal Party is known for junking projects from previous administration like PNot did to most of GMA projects. Or Cory did to Bataan Nuclear Power Plant. Tuloy nagbayad pa tayo ng cancellation costs plus interest.

Agree with you tatang.
