Then,  mag allot ka lang ng budget for your debt payments.

Also, the moment na nirefer ka na nila sa third-party agency, drop it off.

    Good luck.

If possible, branch manager na talaga kausapin mo.

    @IronHandofJustice

Hahaha.

Naive question at hindi ko din makita ang right thread for this. I’m planning to get a secured card through MCC, but I’m also applying for regular cards with Citi and BDO (may savings ako dito 60k pa lang 3 months old). My question is: does an annual income of 1M+ give me a better consideration from banks?

Background: 1 default CC with HSBC in 2010 (13k I think), planning to pay it in May this year. Changed ways, and got an autoloan, checking and regular CC from Eastwest in 2017-2018.

Since you already have a regularCC and an autoloan from EW, why are you still interested in getting a secured CC from another bank? What is holding you back from paying the defaulted HSBC CC?

Secured CC are generally for those who want to fix their credit history or to build one.

EastWest already granted you a loan and a CC. Assuming that you have a long enough payment history (around a year or more), you should be able to get cards from other banks. However, you need to settle your HSBC CC now!

After all, a paid up defaulted HSBC CC gives you better chances of geeting approved for other CCs without shelling out holdout amount from other banks than presenting your annual income.

^^ Thanks for the input, freelancer_babe. Just like the previous post from Jhay-r, pinag-iipunan ko pa ng about x5 ang pambayad without hurting my savings before I contact them para ready to pay agad. Five months pa lang ang regular CC ko and 2 years ang autoloan which is why I’m considering an MCC secured CC to build more credit history. I know beggars can’t be choosers considering my delinquency, pero more attractive ang promos ng banks like Citi and BDO which is why gusto ko din sana magkaron ng ganun. I’m thinking another CC from MCC, though secured, would help me achieve that.

Almost 2 years na rin ang SCC ko, I plan to request for card retention and release of hold out amount. I don't know the procedure, the card will not be surrendered, tama ba?
Go to the bank and request for card retention and release of hold out amount. Pwede mo din ihirit yung CLI if you have supporting documents. The card will not be surrendered.
Hi, thanks for answering. Ok, got it. So if ever I requested, and then the bank declines, I can still use the card. Ieemail nila ako just in case yung outcome, correct? How long does it usually take? And I am not allowed to use the card while on process?

Any suggestions po? Thanks
Anyways, just this month lang na approve ang citibank and bdo application ko, reference CC is BPI SCC. No docs submitted. Pag umabot na sila ng 1 year at mag try ako pa hold out with retention tapos hihingan pa rin ako ng req., ipapa release ko na talaga pera ko.

Also may tatlong regular cards na ako from other banks na mas mataas ang credit limit.
I may be able to use it as reference card to request for higher credit limit sa ibang cards ko. Plan ko sanang mag-apply ng Gold with SB. I learned my lesson na dapat di muna mag electronic SOA para maging option yun to waive the annual fee.
Maraming ibang pwedeng gawing back-up na no annual fee for life pa.
Kung back.up po ang purpose. Try Citi Simplicity. No annual fee pero hindi nag i earn ng points.

Technically, kahit saan.

Good luck, Jhay-R. Mukhang mauunahan mo pa ako magka BDO pag ma approve ka. :D

Hanggang ngayon 'di ko pa nakuha 'yung card. So I asked na branch pick up na. Totoo ba yung 7-10 banking days na turnaround time?

Nagbabasa ako ng thread simulat noon. Nakakatuwa at karamihan senyo naachive na yung goals nyo. Ang situation ko naman, may na default ako na cc with citibank - mga 2006 or 2007 ata. Meron akong scc sa BPI for 6 years now. Nakaka depress. :(

Do you have any existing savings account kahit sa anong bank?
