Philippine history is full of back stabbing and traitors parang Game of Thrones lang without the dragons.:rofl:

meron US WWII film which mentioned the Filipinos in the provinces took to the mountains and fought a guerrilla warfare against the Japanese invaders but Filipinos in ubran area easily COLLABORATED.

maybe that is the reason the Americans flattened Manila? they are not sure if the Filipinos in Manila are still collaborators.

If you look at world history and how the Philippines came to be it can be exciting.  Like did you know that Spain was a muslim country?  Then the Christian rebellion began and in the span of over 700 years, Spain became 100% Christian.. and in less than 30 years after the Christians reclaimed Spain, Magellan found the Philippines.

What if the muslims did not lose Spain?  How would the world be like today.  That is what makes it all interesting.

when Magellan discovered the Philippines, they could saw how easily COLLABORATIVE the Filipinos just to gain an advantage from their neighbors. we were also into slavery ... aka "thou shall covet thou neighbors wives." just image the GOT sex scenes with Pinays.

even the Sabah claim was a Game of Thrones scenario. the historical account from Brunei claimed the army from Sulu came after the battle and marauded the spoils of war because the Brunei forces were weakened and couldnt fight another battle. you could attribute them to the modern abusive UN Peacekeeping force.

our claim, the Sulu Sultanate were the light cavalry that charged to save the day .... aka heroes.

as for Spain, it was Christian which was invaded by the Moors and retaken by the Crusade. no different from what happened to the Balkans and Greece.

good thing, a small force was able to defend the Asturias and Basque and keep the Spanish/Portugese lineage alive.

    Pre-Spanish Time: halos walang materials; archeology may not be enough;

Spanish Time: dami dapat kalkalin sa archives ng Spain, British Museum, and Museums ng UST, Ateneo, Letran and other Catholic Schools; dapat din pag aralan mga sinulat nina Rizal, Marcelo H. del Pilar, Emilio Jacinto, mga writers ng La Soliradidad  etc.

American to present time: so many suppression of original documents, dapat kalkalin ang libraries ng U.S. Japan, even Malacanang...

when the Spaniards came they destroyed what they cant ship back to Spain and tried to terraform this tropical country into a mini-Espana. hence, gone are the Kota of Luzon and Visayas.

they even did it by introducing foreign species like acacia trees, ceiba tree, buganvilia, messands, corn, eggplants, okra and etc etc. all these are plants suitable for arid climate like Spain. so ever wonder why the Mehan Botanical Garden was important to Intramuros?? when the galleons came and brought seeds, they planted it at Mehan Garden for distribution.

ironic because the original propose of Magellan was to look for spice island and colonize it then export back the spices to Spain.

many documents and artifacts were lost and stolen during the Spanish Civil War. most are hidden in private collections as peddled stolen goods.

the Spaniards never cared to keep the insurecssion documents. as far as the friars are concerned .... "burn them all!!!"

Sir, the Japanese were as worse as the Spaniards. they melted all the precious metals they can get their hands on which was based on the imperial order of "Kin no Yuri" or Golden Lily. the Japanese were here to loot everything throughout Japanese Occupied Asia. they didnt care about documents as far as we are concern they burned what they did not find tangible.

the American were the real history buffs and kept a good record of the Philippine history. they were proud of their achievements and discoveries and kept it in the Philippines notably at the Philippine National Library and National Museum.

pero alam mo naman kung ano nangyari nun WWII. those buildings were not burned but rather they were nearly flatten by the Americans with their bombs and artillery.

In US State Universities alone, maraming M.A. and Ph.D. theses about the Philippines
that are not available to us.

from Propaganda Time nina Rizal up to present.
Along with Augustinians, the Dominicans are the Official Archivers of Spanish Philippines,
kaya marami yang TINATAGO, particularly about the political and economic policies
    during those period (Spanish Philippines).

Remember, hindi lang Royal ito, Pontifical din plus 400 years of existence - very rich source of information pero tagung-tago.

    In terms of getting  facts and objective assessment of Spanish Philippines, I trust the Jesuits than the Dominicans;
you have to get permission from the Pope-
may chance na yan these days compared with the past
why? eh Jesuit ang Pope at liberal hahaha

It's the writer or the story teller which makes history more interesting. Historical movies are oftentimes not hits, but Jose Rizal and Heneral Luna generated interest and were hits.

Very dull subject in highschool. Wala talaga akong naintindihan dito.

Every year, our school awards students even though they are not honor rolls and just excelled in one subject. that is why in some sections, there is a competition who has the most perfect score and bragging rights because they were exemption from the final examination even though it is just for History.

Philippine History is exciting because of its cutthroat nature.

google mo Fossils Philippines. marami sa Bulacan.

marine dinosaurs fossils are possible in the Philippines even though our country is a volcanic archipelago. there Trilobites and Ammonites fossils being sold from the quarries of Bulacan. most are incomplete because these were pick out from the quarry rubble. those are older than dinosaurs. the problem with our archaeology is our lack of priority to preserve artifacts. until now there is no official archaeological digging by the National Museum at Bulacan because the finds were discovered in private property. by law if an excavation or mining activity discovers an archaeological relic, they must stop their activity and report the find to the National Museum for further scientific digging. the finds will be taken by the National Government without any monetary benefit to the private owner of the property.

in short, lugi ka kapag pinahalagahan mo ang Philippine History.
  • pong_padourpong_padour PEx Influencer ⭐⭐⭐
Kumbaga non-existent pa ang 7,107 islands natin when the  dinosaurs roam the earth.

the Philippines is a volcanic archipelago but it does not mean our land mass is young. we could have been a prehistoric seabed. that is why we have ammonites and trilobites. the prehistoric seabed was pushed up and buried under the new volcanic layers.

if it is a seabed, it is more likely to have deposits of dead prehistoric marine dinosaurs.

    googled it today:
