    pag may concern ako..
  • piquanteyepiquanteye Member
Mag message ka na lang sa Official FB or twitter ng BPI for callback kung masyadong matagal ka ng naghantay.

I think may Viber support din ang BPI as per previous thread but it is still a mystery kung nasaan sa viber... Wow magic!

Honestly I don't think that's going to change anytime soon. Madali na ang 1-2 years if mag improve man yan.

I moved out my card and payroll (freelancer) relationship from them, due to deteriorating service.

normally ba dapat charged na agad yung annual fee kahit parating pa lang new card? so far wala naman na charge sa akin since I confirmed with them before the conversion request na retained ang free for life status ng card from the original Blue MC and dapat walang annual fee na babayaran outright.

So I applied for Express Start SCC on Feb 28. Yung money na hold kaagad on the same day

Today March 9 I called 89100 to check my application status and sabi ng phonebanker wala daw pending application. She would forward my info to cards dept daw and I should expect a call/email from them in 2 banking days.

Ganoon ba talaga? So if I didn’t call I would’ve waited in vain?

What is the regular turnaround time to get an automatic update from them that my application is being processed?

Or gugulatin ka nalang ba nila with the card?

I’m kinda disappointed kasi 150k yung pinahold ko. Iniisip ko ipa release ko nalang yung hold-out then just add the 150k to my BDO SA then ask for branch endorsement.

Same experience nung nag-apply ako last Dec. 12, 2017. Weekly ako nagfa-follow up pero walang records. 1 month and 1 week yung inabot nung akin.

Haay.

Pero naka tanggap ka ng message from them na card is for delivery, etc?

    Or bigla nalang dineliver?

    Thank you.

You'll receive a text and e-mail na the card is for delivery. You'll also receive a snail mail congratulating you, pwedeng mas mauna pa dumating yung card kaysa sa welcome letter na snail mail.

Viber is ok. So far, I've been requesting callbacks from them. But yesterday, medyo frustrating. Their last message was asking me re the concern. When I replied, wala na. Nobody called. I followed up, nothing. Messaged them this morning to inform them that I didnt get a call, still nothing. Messaged Twitter because it's always my second option. Replied but galing nako sa bank, but they replied even though late. I could have saved a lot of my precious time kung di lagi busy ang 89100 or kung magreturn calls lang sila. I think it's simple.

On my part, no notifications at all. No text, email, or even snail mail na approve na sya.

It really takes a while po talaga. Hehe :)

Not sure if this is still accurate pero may workmate ang housemate ko dati (circa 2012) na naging phone banker sa BPI. He disclosed they are not compensated well at maraming workload. Lahat sila both phone and email support ginagawa. Support nila lahat ng BPI products except Trust. In other words, iyong mga makakausap mo sa Savings account, or Prepaid Card or credit or loans, pare parehong group of individuals.

Pathetic ang sistema ng bansa natin to be honest.

Sobrang kupad. :(
May utang na loob lang talaga ako sa BPI because I got my first CC from them.

Sana you got a BDO branch endorsement nalang. With a decent monthly ADB, or kahit nga wala, as long as you don't raise some red flags, maaapprove ka na naman kung matino yung branch mo. It takes a month. Probably less pa than BPI's Express Start tapos at least di ka nakatali. You have to factor in din na matagal din ang pagrelease ng holdout ni BPI and subject to approval pa rin ang conversion to regular cc. So might as well try to get a real CC since hassle nga siya.

At >100k holdout, I'd suggest just going to HSBC and opening an Advance account. 100k minimum lang yun tapos may preapproved Advance CC ka na (na considered regular CC and not a secured CC). Kahit pa time deposit mo pa yung hinulog para at least gumagalaw siya. On top of this, you get a better rewards program than BPI and MUCH better phone support. No need to worry kung wala masyado branch kasi hindi mo rin naman din gagalawin yung pera in the case of BPI Express Start.

Napansin ko, karamihan ng customers nila ay nandiyan dahil lang ito ang first or nakasanayan. Ganito rin ako dati.

But all you need is one try with any other bank's customer support and you'll see how much shortchanged BPI customers are. I don't see why anyone would put up with them.
