MANILA—Kim Chiu is going full comedy for her next big-screen outing, which will also mark her first team-up with Ryan Bang.

The Star Cinema production, to be directed by Tony Reyes, was announced Wednesday after the film's story conference.

Chiu quipped, referring to her fresh tandem with Bang, a South Korean citizen whose "Pinoy Big Brother" stint jump-started her local showbiz career.

Speaking with ABS-CBN News' Jeff Fernando, Bang said he feels fortunate to be paired with Chiu, "kasi si Kim Chiu ang pinaka crush ng mga Korean dito sa Pilipinas!"

Promise!"

Joining Chiu and Bang in the still-untitled movie are Lassy Marquez, Moi Bien, and **** Herrera.

"Magkakaibigan sila rito. Tropa silang lima," Reyes said.

While a release date has yet to be finalized, Reyes revealed Chiu has already started filming for the project.
