Comments: Akala ko talaga magugustuhan ko to pero siguro na-overhype ako. :hiya: When Harry Met Sally kasi yung last Nora Ephron film na pinanuod ko so I think I was expecting something like that but I think that was a rare gem for the romcom genre. This one is more like the usual ones we see where people just fall in love with total strangers and you're supposed to believe they're perfect for each other. And I do like some movies that are like that but this one just didn't click with me. Either na-annoy ako sa anak ni Tom Hanks  or I just want them to get to know each other more especially sa part ni Tom.

Comments: It’s a curious thing that the US has allowed to ban practices of Christianity in certain places. I like the part when they were selecting the members of the jury. Anyway, this sequel has more courtroom scenes than the university setting. The Philippines has patterned its constitution on the US constitution and so far, we do not have cases like the one in the movie. I have heard that prayers are no longer allowed in public schools, considering that they have the freedom of religion and yet they have subtle oppression here and there. I don’t think the Philippines have such ban in its public schools. It’s interesting how a similar constitution is utilized differently.

Anyway, I think the movie was enjoyable.

“It doesn’t take away the pain, it takes away the hope.”
“Prayer always seem to be the last thing we do, when it should be the first.”

I love Charlize Theron (McAvoy too) and she was great here especially in action scenes, though I disliked how she delivered her lines. The action scenes were impelling, kinda reminded me of John Wick. Only to learn later that they had the same director and sometimes Theron trained with Reeves.

Comments: I lowered my expectations for this bilang eto yung favorite Dan Brown book ko kaya siguro I managed to enjoy the movie. That or Italy just looked really pretty. :inluv: There were some changes from the book that I didn't like but yung mga sinunod naman nila met or exceeded my expectations, like the execution of the murders in connection with the artworks tsaka yung scenes sa Vatican archives. Medyo obvious lang agad kung sino yung villain and his connection with the assassin was not established enough.

This movie is number 72 in the list of 1001 Movies to See Before You Die.

Real life "freaks" were used in the filming of this black and white movie from 1932.

Only unreal freak was the duck ..... as karma for the evil female antagonist.

Please read wikipedia for more insights/spoilers.

Comments: First of all, this is nowhere near the anime or kahit dun sa Japanese movie niya. Pero if anything, consolation yung twist niya sa dulo, very americanized but entertaining otherwise.

Hindi ko lang masyadong naappreciate yung audio sa sinehan nung pinagpanooran namin kaya medyo hindi ko rin naintindihan mga pangalan nila :rotfl:. Walang patapon sa cast, quality talaga. I like the idea na parang si Black Panther yung binibuild-up to be the next Iron Man/leader.

Comments: My prep for Black Panther. :glee: Also a mini Beauty and the Beast reunion. God, this cast is attractive.

Can't say I've heard of Thurgood Marshall before watching this movie so this was a nice introduction. It's kind of on the funny and over-the-top side compared to Selma so not taking it too seriously was a factor to me really enjoying it.

I was expecting more, since this movie was a box office, but I was kinda 'that's it?' at the end of the movie. The CGI was great though. And the ape having more compassion than some humans made up for it.

One of those few franchises where the sequel is better than the 1st installment. Though at first, it didnt feel that way. But the story definitely carried the whole movie.

Comments: I enjoyed every second of it. Some moments were predictable, cheesy, and corny. The first time “Wakanda Forever” was screamed, it was so powerful that Lupita’s Wakanda Forever almost seem forced. Loved the costumes and cinematography (the northern lights was a bit too much though). Made me miss Korea. Would love to see the insides of the train.
