Comments: Some of the people I know gave raving reviews about this movie. It was okay, the story was kind of inspiring and the songs were nice. However, I wasn’t really raving about it.

P.T. Barnum was a flawed character but somehow the movie glossed over that aspect. It felt like a Disney movie…I do like Disney movies but this one is just okay. I don’t hate it and I like it enough.

    My Rating: 7/10

Comments: I have no idea who ***** Lee was so it took a while before I realize that this was a biographical movie. To be fair, I am not from Singapore so I am not familiar with him. The songs were pleasant and the singers were good in this movie. With the story, the main character was not really a sympathetic character. He was kind of a jerk. It’s sad what happened to his sister. I did like the portrayal of the brother-sister dynamic. I don’t see this dynamic that often in movies. But the movie was a feel good movie, well sort of.

    My Rating: 6.5/10

Comments: It took some time for me to watch this. I forgot the reason why I didn’t see this in the cinema. Anyway, I like Disney movies and I appreciate that they incorporated the different stories and characters in this musical. Yes, I also like musicals.

Never steal from a witch’s garden for she will curse you. Anyway, the movie is just a little dark literally, it reminded me of “Brothers Grimm”. But overall, it is a delightful movie.

“’At least they have some food now.’

    ‘Five beans?!’”

“Of course, I prefer a live cow.”

Movie: Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again (2018)

    Date Viewed: July 21, 2018

    Medium: Theater

Comments: The movie follows what happens to Sophie after the first movie, at the same time, we travel back in time to see what actually transpired during Donna’s youth in Paris and in Greece. It’s a simple story with lots of laughs and musical numbers. Very enjoyable unless you detest the music of ABBA. If you enjoyed the first movie, you will most likely enjoy the sequel just as much.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you. I have heard nothing about you.”

    “’She is missing her man.’

    ‘Which one?’”

Movie: Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993)

    Date Viewed: August 16, 2018

    Medium: DVD

Comments: I have seen before but it has been a while. From what I remember, this was a hilarious and a ridiculous movie and it still is. To be honest, this is the Robin Hood movie that I like, even though this is a parody of this genre and this particular story.

“We have much to do and less time to do it.”

“Because, unlike some other Robin Hoods, I can speak with an English accent.”

”We went from royalty to recycling.”

    “I have a mole?”

    My Rating: 7/10

I loved the film right after seeing it because I thought it hit too close to home. A few days after, I realized JC's character is one of the biggest ***** ever in local cinema. Not as big as its director, though.
