Before when I worked in Italy & visited other European countries, madalas wine iniinom ko habang kumakain or may occasion pero di naman sosyal tingin ko dun. Some of my favorite brands were Beaujolais Village, Robert Mondavi & Brunello.
I also like Mateus Rose and one wine I've tasted in Portugal. Manamis namis at fruity pa.
I've also tried Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc etc.
Sarap pag may cheese & crackers. Minsan prosciutto pulutan.

Muscato is good. I'm on a 'sweet alcohol' phase right meow. I just finished my leftover Bailey (been mudsliding for the last 6 mos), I've been killing the 5-6 different cider brands (nothing new but...), 2 rootbeer and 3 cream ale :glee:

Muscato I drank many times as mixed drinks on overpriced hipster bars (after 2014 it became popular as a mixer ingredient). Only sipped by itself a couple of times, not fond then.

But earlier this year I got a taste of a cheap one from a girl's party...it was good. I've finished siguro 2-3 in the last 6 mos. I'm a barbarian I chill it, sometimes I put in on ice. :glee:

Rose is my new 'like' I wouldn't say 'fave' (I hated it for the simple fact that it was "cool" drink of 2015 onward). But it's actually pretty good, easy to drink. It's meant to be a girly light wine and surprisingly not bad and lots of them super cheap.

This week I just opened hard cider (also sweet) so nothing fancy but it matches the season and it's a good fill your stomach alcohol.

As for sosyal, mura lang ang wine. You can buy it large quantities for cheap like boxed wine. If you're gonna drink it for sosyalist purposes, it might get expensive because most likely you're gonna try to buy the expensive one and you won't finish it.

    :glee:

  • Hindi ko po kursunada ang wine. Paminsan-minsan po umiinom ako ng cider:

Di ko rin po kursunada ang cerveza.

"Class wine"? What's that? Don't use class like it's an adjective. Sa Tagalog slang lang yan.

I'm not wealthy, but I will spend money on good wine if I want to. And I don't do it to feel sosyal. So stop with your pseudo-rich entitlement.

We we're in a village and passed by to this one popular wine shop, bought a 5 liter wine for 5euros at naubos talaga namin nung boss ko sa isang upuan lol!

I love white wine (give me any Italian one) but the sugar content of it that me cautious of consuming more.

    OMG!!!

marami ako nakikitang mga ibang pinoy magpost ng drinking wine...pero dami ko kita mali....so i don't know kung sosyal yon..... or just for photo ops :rotflmao:

I think the better question is sosyal ka ba kung marunong kang mag pair ng wine and you can tell the different flavors of the grape and when you drink a wine you can talk about it not just drink it

Pairing, baka yung iba white wine pa oorderin for their steak. Sa resto sa Pinas, wala na yung amoy amoy ng cork, swirling it on the proper wine glass, checking its color, sniffing the aroma, letting the wine breathe inside the bottle, sip a little wine tas i gagargle sa bibig before you give the thumbs up to the waiter na ok yung inorder mo. It depends on my mood or sometimes and the people I'm with. When I'm with my Pinoy friends, shortcut lang pwera na lang kung may chick na gusto kong magpaimpress. Pero nung nasa Europe ako with my Italian friends or ibang lahi, I order & drink it the proper way. I even order aperitif drinks like campari soda before my dinner. It was a great experience for me though being immersed in their culture.
Sa Pinas naman, baka majority pa nga di na dinedecant yung mga age old wines from the cellar (kung meron man) or kahit table wines/ alco free like Novellinos eh ok na. Only a few order DOC wines and have a discerning palate who can distinguish its dryness, mga earthy flavor na may hint of citrus, cinammon blah blah.
But it won't hurt naman to know the right way of drinking it.
There was a time during my stay in Italy na talagang I consumed wine on a daily basis to pair with my meal na di ko na nalalasahan yung alcohol, parang tubig na sa kin. Normal lang at di ko naman inisip na kasosyalan yun since everyone was doing it there.

I only drink and order wine last time I worked in Italy and travel to other countries in Europe for nearly a decade.
During that time I met new friends from different walks of life who introduced me to Jack & Coke, Red Label & Coke, Bacardi Apple & Lemon Juice, Greygoose with Cranberry & Famous Grouse with ginger ale which became some of my favorite drinks. Imbes beer (never liked its taste), nagdadala/nagaambag na lang ako ng bote ng Jack, Bacardi or Greygoose pag may pupuntahan na inuman.

Wine for dinner, lazy nights and formal parties.

    Liquor for night outs.

There's nothing classy about sh_t like that.

It's life. It's my life. I run it the way I want it.

kum regular drinker ka nam wine ya may pagka sosyal ka.

im not a wine drinker. the best, per se, na natikman kong wine ay dom perignon 1998 sa isang glitzy party sa isang undeground night club.

vodka and beer lang ako. used to drink sanmig light but when I tasted redhorse nag switched ako. bakit ba lol  mas gusto ko ang lasa niya tsaka ok tumama hahaha

Dom Perignon is not known for their wine.

that may be true. it is a drink of the elites. reason being, for one it is expensive and only a few may have had the privilege of tasting, let alone drinking a few glasses of that very pricey sparkling wine.

they dont advertise on eat bu la ga goose :)

ive had it when I was in canada. also had red and white wine in napa.

what'd have or have had goose, rice wine in tetra pack? :glee:
  • MabuheyMabuhey PEx Influencer ⭐⭐⭐
May nag wa-white wine muna for pre drinks then pag meal time or dessert time, nag re-red wine naman sila..
