maslumalago ang ating ekonomiya sa trabaho, not from spending money on tourist sites.

the government get their money from the taxes they collect from you.

not from you spending your money at a quaint little village.

Obviously some of you disnt read the provisions.4-day work week means prolonged hours at the office from 8 hours extended to 12.

For me it's okay since mag eextend ka ng konting hours lang kesa sayangin sa traffic.
    Advantages:
1.spend more time for your family
    2. Save a day na tipid ka dahil mababawasan pamasahe or pang gas mo..
    3. Spend more time for yourself improving on other stuff you missed.

id prefer 10 hrs/ 4 days. with wed as my off. para makapahinga.

lalo na dyan sa pinas, my siblings travel from qc to makati and the other in ortigas,

amd theyd say pasakit daw talaga ang traffic and commute, and drivimg in their own ride is very consuming of their budget.

amd they already started this, nag ro rotate na sila for 4 days.

and they say they prefer it, at least spared one day ng burden ng commute.

very much aware of the extended daily work hours. However, ang trabaho hindi lang naman tumatakbo by the hour.

those extra 2 hours per day x 4 does not necessarily equate to that 1 whole day of 8 hours.

I don't know the exact provisions, but generally naman in hospitals dito 3/Twelves or 4/10's. Usually mga clinicals do twelves, mga clerical do 10's.

Yung 8 hr. work day naman kasi established yan during industrial revolution (or I should say post), start ng progressive movement. It's to protect them from ungodly hours they were forced to work.

I don't think there's anything wrong with it...it could be more efficient. Unfortunately though for employer IMHO mas gugustuhin nila sa service sector na more days. That way they don't have to hire more employees to cover mga leftover work days.

huh?

    true.. hahaha!
  • I think this is a good idea for a balanced life. You have a day's worth of money for free. Another day to let the "air" breathe a little and sweep away smog caused by pollution.

office work naman, ang busiest are Mon and Fri,

people can rotate. tues-thurs for off, amd can even offer saturdays to
    dilute the work further more.

office rent is the same, ,ang magastos nga lang sa kuryente (aircon, lights, computer).

pero if the gains outweighs this small concern, why not.

The House of Representatives has approved on third and final reading House Bill (HB) No. 6152, which seeks to allow a four-day workweek.

"Under House Bill 6152, companies may reduce the number of workdays by increasing the usual eight-hour workday to [a] 10- or 12-hour workday," notes Jhoanna Ballaran in the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

Baguio City Rep. Mark Go, one of the authors of the bill, was quoted as saying, "These arrangements give employers and employees flexibility in fixing hours of work compatible with business requirements and the employees' need for a balanced work life."

Sigurado kaba? Are you sure you understood what you are reading?

It still needs to be transmitted to the Senate for a counterpart measure.

When the law is finally passed, the secretary for labor and employment
will then issue implementing rules and regulations.

Maraming pang steps. Papahamakin mo nanaman kami. :glee:
