Most news channels and websites want to get ratings and the media has turned news into entertainment. But really CNN isn't the only culprit here as much as conservatives or wanna conservatives want to call CNN fake news it's no different with Fox News or Infowars pandering to their far right conservative base for ratings and hits.

Actually though the international CNN is a lot easier to digest when covering the news. The American CNN broadcast can get a bit insufferable especially in the 2012 elections when they kept obsessing about Hilary's emails and was pretty soft on Trump.

I still hold non-conservative mainstream news channels like CNN, NY Times and NBC for helping Trump win the election with their over obsession on Hilary and her emails and underplaying Trump's campaign ties with Russia and his campaign Rhetoric.

Heck CNN giving Trump too much coverage (thus giving him more exposure) was meant for ratings as well as them trying to have a "balanced" panel with nonsensical conservative talking heads like Kellyanne Conway during the election as well as their obsession with Hilary's emails.

So as much as folks here like to criticize CNN for how they cover the Russia situation now because of ratings, in their attempt for ratings during the election they also helped Trump win the election.
