    America's hands are tied. It can not do anything but to grant Philippines its independence, considering that they fought to gain independence from Britain.
    The Filipinos? Well, it's the sense of nationalism that drove them to want independence from the US.

    “I would rather have a government run like hell by Filipinos than a government run like heaven by Americans.”

    Goes without saying that politicians will say anything to aggrandize themselves.

    What Quezon will say now? Joke lang!
