It's not just airbags that will save you. The seat belt will too. Also, older cars have better visibility, higher and stronger chassis.

MALI. Mas mahina ang chassis ng lumang sasakyan. Kusang durog ito sa head on tulad ng nangyari sa crash test.

Kung ang sasakyan ay walang air bags mainam palitan na! Mahirap na!

The 1992 lancer chassis is stronger than the next two models that followed it. However, its posts are thinner. In most newer cars the posts are stronger but visibility (side and rear) are lower.

So the issue is not really which has air bags and which don't. Air bags are superior to seat belts at higher speeds is all. And you do know that AB's can be dangerous (even fatal) when they deploy. Older cars have weaker posts. But visibility was better.

Walang kuwenta ang visibility kung may na-micro-sleep o nagkaroon ng medical episode na driver ng ibang sasakyan at nag-head-on sa sasakyan mong walang airbags.
