So does INC encourage fasting for the sake of Jeeeezus or something?
15 Jesus answered, How can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while he is with them? The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.

"Fasting" in INC is more of abstaining from earthly pleasures than food.
1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the worldthe desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of lifeis not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God remains forever.
Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
James 4:4
You adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore, whoever chooses to be a friend of the world renders himself an enemy of God.0 -
^ so what 'earthly pleasures' is INC abstaining from?
Parties, revelries, quest for more money, working abroad tapos iiwanan ang pamilya sa Pilipinas (i.e. mga nanay na hindi na lang magtatrabaho sa abroad para hindi malayo sa kanilang mga anak na to make sure na ang mga bata ay laging nakakasamba at hindi napapaliko ang buhay).
May mga magulang na kandakuba sa pagtatrabaho sa abroad para mabigyan lang ng "magandang kinabukasan" kuno ang mga anak na puro sa drugs at lakwatsa at magagarbong kagamitan lang pala napupunta yung perang ipinadadala nila. Nawala na sa paglilingkod sa Diyos.
Yan ang ilan.
Sa INC, mamatamisin (naks, natawa ako sa salitang ito
) pa namin na SIMPLE lang ang pamumuhay namin kesa naman sa puro kalayawan at sa dulo ay pagdurusa! 
Sa aming munting kita ay MASAYA kaming magbibigay ng abuloy at handog sa iglesia upang maitulong sa mga gawain at matulungan ang mga naghihirap sa mundo, KESA IBILI namin ng magagandang gamit na madaling masira. Sa madaling salita, makukuntento na lang kami sa 50" TV at hindi na muna kami bibili ng 60"!

Parties na walang kahalayan, walang drugs, walang ombagan. Kasayahan at kapatiran lamang, maraming pagkain, hindi bawal yan!
Ang mga kasayahan sa INC ay iisang layunin palagi - purihin ang pangalan ng Diyos at ipagdiwang ang mga tagumpay ng INC!
Isaiah 24:14 They raise their voices, they shout for joy;
from the west they acclaim the Lords majesty.

exalt the name of the Lord, the God of Israel,

May sinabi bang fasting diyan? Pag hindi ka fasting pwede ang mga earthly pleasures?0 -

diba huwbes ngayon, Maundy Thursday? bakit walang tao sa Central INC ngayon? usually every Thursday, that area is jam pack. as in they are triple parallel parking along Commonwealth.Ave.
