  • I watched it here in the US a few months back and I loved it. The critics here in the US raved about it as well. There is another full length animation movie making raves here in the US and I hope to see it before it closes - Princess Mononoke featuring the master of Japanese animation Haya Miyazaki (revered by the Disney animators as "the master") and the english story and script were written by Neil Gaiman.
  • Damn! Missed this one! I know it would be good what with it based on a book by the great poet Ted Hughes.

bakit naman asterisk? i think u can still catch it at glorietta 4....dali! bago magdagsaan yung mga metro filmfest movies!
  • Naku, talaga? Ngee! Have to find time!
  • oi braveheart i saw it the other day, spanish and english versions pa...although according to the rotten tomato site, 2 of the 25 or so critics who reviewed it didn't actually like it. they found it heavy-handed, long and flawed. BUT personally i love it, like what Jay Boyar said: "Cleverly engaging!"

you have to watch the Minnie Driver-Clair Danes dubbed landmark animation movie Princess Mononoke. I consider it as one of the best movies this year.
  • Hoy Sinned, lunch break mo ano?

Jeez, we are simultaneously online. Parang naghahabulan at naglalaro ng taguan :)
  • hahaha oo nga pala panahon na naman ng lintek na metro manila film fest. matitigang na naman kayo sa foreign flicks for the next couple of weeks. bwiset pa naman 'yang festival na 'yan.
  • Actually, may dalawang contenders na okay and I am more likely be watching them.

"Muro Ami" directed by Marilou Diaz Abaya from the screenplay of Ricky Lee and Jun Lana. Mukhang very okay 'yung underwater shots for a Filipino film.

"Bulaklak ng Maynila." Not that i care about Angelu de Leon going bold, but because the movie is based from the novel by Domingo Landicho. It is directed by Joel Lamangan, one of the better direks but still pumapalya paminsaminsan.
  • Jun Lana is one of the hottest screenwriters now. I mean he commands big bucks. Marami siyang bagong shows sa GMA 7, and all that. At lumadlad na siya, if you don't know yet.

Yes, he won in the Belgium Film Festival for Best Screenplay. I forgot which movie. Ahh, ano nga pala, Sa Pusod ng Dagat (In the Navel of the Sea).
  • talaga?!

the other night Harvest Home (forgot the Filipino title) by Carlitos Siguion Reyna was shown on Cinemax tapos subtitled s'ya in Spanish.
  • The original title is "Inagaw Mo Ang Lahat Sa Akin" Di ba, very Filipino.

Talaga? Ano 'yan special screening or general, I mean kasama ba siya sa isang special festival of some sorts?

yung burger ko binigay ko kay barbie da dog...nagsisi tuloy ako...im thinking of going out again para bumili ng siomai...
  • hinde parang feature presentation ng Cinemax, bale meron kasi silang segment na once a week may isang film from this country and that. next month ipapalabas 'ata yung Bata, bata paano ka ginawa.
  • O sige, hehehe.
Cinemax the cable channel. Okay.

Braveheart, lafang ka nang lafang diyan, ah. Ilang pounds ka na ba? 190?

    frame...
  • Ow, c'mon, Braveheart.

*looks around* daming food and gifts sa office!

*munches a cracker with cream cheese and olive topping*

    *passes bacon bits to asterisk*

*takes bacon bits and spinkle on crunchy letture with sliced boiled eggs, cucumber and tomatoes. Munches a mouthful of salad. Takes Ruby Red Snapple and gulps.*
