Let us welcome 2017 with the newest PEx Movie Challenge!

Seventeen movie goals will be set for the 2017 PEx Movie Challenge (PMC). Several challenges from previous years are retained in this year’s lineup, while some are considered with several modifications. To officially complete this challenge, a PExer must accomplish 10 goals at the end of the year (December 31, 2017). Some movie goals will be required for participants; that is, partaking PExers must include those as part of their 10 accomplished goals. To complete their list, they are free to choose among the remaining movie goals - all of which cater to movie buffs and casual movie watchers alike.

    Welcome our 2017 PEx Movie Challenge Host - PExMovieChallenge

    I will still be around by helping in making the threads for each challenge although PExMovieChallenge will be the one handling the posting of rules and administering everything.

    1. Each participant must accomplish 10 movie goals to complete the 2017 PinoyExchange Movie Challenge.
    2. Out of the 17 goals for 2017, 5 are required and must be part of the accomplished 10 movie goals: Crowd Reports, Staying Local, PEx Critics’ Choice, Flavor of the Month and Movie Chain challenges.
    3. Participants are free to choose the remaining 5 among the general movie goals to complete their lists.
    4. Each goal will have a designated thread where participants will post their reviews. Specific guidelines are also posted in each thread.
    5. A minimum of 3 sentences per post is required for the review to count as an official entry to the 2017 PEx Movie Challenge, unless stated otherwise in specific guidelines for each challenge. Participants may use English, Tagalog or a combination of both in their posts. Plagiarism is not allowed and will not be tolerated. PEx handles of participants caught engaging in such practice will be forwarded to the PEx administrators who will deal with them accordingly.
    6. For movies that may fall under more than one movie goal, they may be used for up to 3 challenges only.
    7. Participants may comment on posts by other PExers. Discussions about watched or seen movies are highly encouraged. Participants may also discuss and even strategize at the PEx Movie Club Chat Thread.
    8. Tracking of progress will be via Google Spreadsheets patterned from the one made by last year’s participants from the Cavernduke House (patterned with permission). Monthly updates will be provided. Weekly, too, if possible.
    9. Participants’ and completion pins will be awarded to those who will participate in and complete challenges. Special prizes will also be given throughout the year.
    10. Most importantly, have fun and enjoy watching movies this year!
