^I cant seem to find this page. I found one but there's no posts or whatsoever about the ICFC.

last year it was held in November. my friend is one of the representatives of ADMU and I haven't heard anything from her yet. I guess, the finals isn't done yet?

sa November pa ang Finals. UP Diliman won last year, their 4 straight win and 10th championship. Halos no posts nga last year, save for one in the UP website. click mo lang ang virata school of business. may feature about last year's contest.

Holy Angel University soared as champion in the Regional Eliminations of the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX) – 18th Inter-Collegiate Finance Competition (ICFC) and was given an automatic slot in the finals. Katrina Camille de Leon (BSA), Aarone Manalese (BSA), Ralph Alcober (BSAT), Carina Dianne Choi (BSBA-MKTG) and Angela David (BSBA-BM) represented HAU with Mr. Arnold Salcedo and Dr. Joan Reyes as their coach.

The Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX) partnered with the leading global financial services firm, JPMorgan Chase & Co., for the 18th Inter-Collegiate Finance Competition (ICFC). The annual event was held simultaneously last October 14 in various regional venues all over the country (University of Cordilleras in Baguio, Angeles University Foundation in Pampanga, University of St. La Salle in Bacolod, University of San Carlos, University of Mindanao—Matina Campus , and Xavier University—Ateneo de Cagayan). The final round is scheduled on November 21 to be held at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas in Manila.

Eleven schools from all over Central Luzon competed in the elimination round: Holy Angel University, Angeles University Foundation, Central Luzon State University, Baliuag University, Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology, Tarlac State University, Araullo University, Columban College, Gordon College, Systems Plus College Foundation, and Immaculate Concepcion College.

The competition was composed of three rounds each with differing levels of difficulty starting from easy to difficult round. The first round was composed of 20 easy questions where HAU placed 2nd with 50 points. The moderate round on the other hand, composed of 15 questions, retained HAU on its standing placing next to CLSU with scores of 150-155. The last round was the most intense for the contestants because of the tight game between HAU and CLSU. In the end, HAU emerged as the regional champion with a total score of 310 points and was given an automatic slot in the finals where the top 20 best of the best schools in the country will compete for the most prestigious title of being a Junior Financial Executive of the Philippines.

calculathor, what's the rank of UP and ADMU?
  • dlsu18thdlsu18th Member PExer
I'm one of the competitors! The last question was so intense, we were ahead against UP by just 20 points (which is just one question) and when the answer cards were raised we got differing answers. Really funny though because we both got it wrong. Congrats to UP though! It was a very hard-fought battle.

^ Thanks for the info. So...., it's the usual 3 universities again in the Top 3.

I understand there were foreign universities that participated. Who are they and how did they place? Just curious.
