Terminated Employee

Hi,

Does terminated employee has the right to request his/her certificate of employment? If not, what would be the possible reason?

Thanks

Hi, even if you were terminated, the company you worked for is still required to give you your certificate of employment because it is proof that you worked at the said company for a specific period of time. Discretion na lang nila or depende sa conversation niyo kung ilalagay nila sa COE kung bakit ka na-terminate (but I believe most companies really just give a normal/templated COE without any reason for termination or dismissal).
