Came to recommend melatonin before I re-read your question--still, could be worth trying again, especially in varying doses. Trader Joe's chewable melatonin comes in 0.5 mg increments so you can take only as much as you want. Sleepytime-ish teas with valerian are effective and pleasant. If you're on any meds that contain MAOIs, though, it'd be best to avoid passionflower as an ingredient.
