Need your help: Hyundai Eon or Suzuki Alto

Hi fellow Pexers,

I need your expertise :)
I am planning to get a a car thru financing and I only got 2 cars that may fit in my paying capacity. Either Suzuki Alto or Eon. I'm tired of commuting daily and I guess this is something very helpful to me. I'm also a newbie when it comes to driving so decided to take driving lesson (syempre naman :lol:) and if in case this is my very first car.

Took a lot of researches and here are some of the things that I gotten:

ALTO:

- Japanese car --- so in terms of durability and reliability, matibay and long-lasting talaga. Value for money nga as they say. Madali lang din ang maintenance plus since it's Suzuki, ang parts are easy to find. Matipid rin sa gas given that I will use it daily for work and with my family if we have weekend errands. Kaso there are some features na wala like power window, central lock (not sure about this one:rolleyes:) and the porma looks really very basic. I know this is a budget car, so I dont really expect anything extravagant, but these things I guess should be essential.

EON: I know may quality rin ang Hyundai, but If I were to compare with Suzuki kahit pano lamang sa quality ang Suzuki. Same with Alto, Madali lang din ang maintenance, however, not sure about the parts. May power windows, central lock (not sure about this one again:rolleyes:) and the porma both exterior and interior are really great. Mas mukha rin syang spacious.

If there are owners or someone who are really knowledgeable about these auto, sana po matulungan nyo ko.
This is really important to me, because it's not just about having a car but kung pano mapupunta sa maayos ang bunga ng pinagtrabahuan ko ;)

Salamat po!!!!!! *okay*:eek::lol:

  • Pabor ako sa Hyundai dahil sa limang taong warranty! Tutal brand new ang bibilhin mo, sulit na iyon!

    I drive a Korean car, Kia Sorento. Ok naman siya, quality-wise and I think these are no longer your tito's Prides, Racers, Excels, Bestas, etc. back in the 90s. Pero still even the bullet-proof Toyotas break down and these are no exception. And thats when the problem hits: lack of parts even at the casa level. In fairness when my evaporator developed pinholes, they processed the warranty claim quickly, but the parts still have to come from Korea, which took more than a month to arrive. I think its a problem for any car w/o a huge local presence/factory. Not sure kung Suzuki madali din ang piyesa (hindi porke japanese brand madali hanapin, look at Mazda).

    panis_na_puto kelunji!

    Actually I'm more considering the Eon na nga, but no finalization yet.:lol:

    So for Hyundai, mura lang din ba ang parts nya?
  • from what I know, same lang ang suzuki at hyundai when it comes to spare parts. matagal bago makapagprovide ang casa ng parts. Di ako sure ah. maybe meron dito na may experience na na magcoconfirm.
  • If I'mnot mistaken the local distributor of Hyundai is the same as Suzuki.
  • Ayos naman mga kotse nila eh.Yung after sales service nila yung nirereklamo.

    Mahirapan hanapin ng parts ang Suzuki cars, Alto included (at mahal - sometimes pang-down payment na ng new car ang price :lol:), although it will take years before you need to replace any part. I don't know about Eon or any other Hyundai car though.
