Background Check - HR Concerns

Hi guys, I am an HR Officer for 3 years sa isang Construction Company, I have a question for you for some clarifications.

My friend applied sa isang BPO last week. Single mom kasi siya. It was new to my knowledge na ganon pala katindi ang hiring sa BPO. To cut the long story short, na hire siya, but she admitted to have some "fabricated details" (experiences to be exact) in her resume. I know kasi alam kong matagal siya d nag work almost 2 years. Unfortunately, may mga kasama siyang nag aapply na nag mamarunong, kinabahan siya kasi ang sabi

"Pwede ibackground check ang employment history sa SSS, Pag IBIG, Philhealth at BIR". At talagang ginagawa nung BPO company ito.

Now to the best of my knowledge and from what i understand, NEVER magagamit itong mga ito for background checks. Why? IT IS CONFIDENTIAL. Only the payee has the access to this contributions. Malalaman lang IF AND ONLY IF hingan ka ng Certificate of Contribution (which is pwde mo na gawan ng alibi). Why do BPO's do this? ang verification ng employment ay company-to-company lang at criminal cases if may filed.

Guys from what i know pwde kasuhan *** company dito. :) CONFIDENTIAL ANG SSS, PAGIBIG, PHILHEALTH AT BIR. :) Pwede makita yan ng 3rd party if may sub poena or demanda kang naka submit sa RTC. :) Pero not for background check ng inaapplyan mo,

Any thoughts? Am i still updated LOL.

Just to rub it in. I am an HR officer yes. And I know hindi tama ang mag sinungaling sa resume. Pero ako ang tinitignan ko lang talaga dito is *** academic background. Pero not the employment history, kasi para sa akin. Kahit nag sinungaling siya if capable na gawin ang trabaho at kaya panindigan go for it, **ck those people na masyadong mapag panggap. Do whatever is necessary to secure a job and provide for your family.

    i'm not sure about their methods but I seriously don't think that the companies doing the background checks are hacking into SSS records.. and if they're not hacking into SSS records, maybe you should also file a case against SSS for not keeping the records safe/confidential.. as long as you can prove that confidential records were illegally accessed by someone from somewhere.. :glee:



    but seriously, you need enough proof when you file a case.. if you don't have any, your lawyer will slap you in the face.. :D so chill lang.. wag puro kaso agad..

    Sampal agad di ba pwede kausap muna. :D Well honestly siyempre napaka out of this world ang level ng Stup**** ng isang tao pagka nagtry ka magdemanda just because of "hearsay". But honestly I agree with you. It's kinda rare (if not "very") to dig deeper into these kind of records. If they do and you are in, suklian na lang ng magandang performance at outstanding output (wow).

    Hi,

    From what I know, they do not have to hack their SSS, BIR and all. They would just simply call the company on their resumes they claimed that they have worked at.
  • Tanong lang if may mga delinquent credit card accounts, magiging issue po ba siya sa bakground check ko sa isang financial company like citibank? Delinquent cards are not from the bank i am applying job? Salamat po sa sasagot

    what if may pinirmahan kang authorization for a 3rd party to conduct background checks, considered na sila as someone authorized to check sss, bir, etc? 

    adtl: nachecheck ba nila yung companies na hindi dneclare kasi nag awol?

    pls sana may makasagot thank you

    Ang pagkaka alam ko talaga eh oo. Kasi yung kawork ko before na nagwork siya sa IBM (bago mabili ng ibang center) ay may mga tinanggal daw sila mga employee kasi hindi dineclare mga companies na pinag awolan nila at mga companies na naterminate sila. 

    Nag awol din ako sa 2 companies tapos nung nag apply ako sa Open Access, ilan beses ako tinatanung ng HR kung merun pa ba daw ibang companies na hindi ko daw nadeclare sa resume ko kasi malalaman at malalaman daw nila, simpre hindi ako umamin at hindi na lang din ako tumuloy.

    Nung nag apply naman ako sa Tata, may pinaperma sila na magcoconduct daw ng background check tapos pinapapasa agad kami ng SSS contribution history or something, ayun hindi na naman ako tumuloy sa Tata.
