According to the INC, De Limas act constitutes selective justice because of the special attention given by the Justice Secretary to the Samson complaint, allegedly even receiving the complaint itself. According to De Lima, there is no truth to this allegation, since it is ministerial upon the DOJ to accept criminal complaints for purposes of conducting preliminary investigation that, in the first place, is the very mandate of the DOJ.
In this instance, De Lima has even no discretion on whether or not to receive the Samson complaint. Receiving a criminal complaint is ministerial upon the DOJ. If the INC demand were to be logically granted, De Lima would have dictated against all procedure and laws the state prosecutor to either not accept the complaint or to throw it out. In so doing, she would have committed an act of graft and corrupt practices by unduly favoring a party to the injury of the complainant. What the INC is demanding is for De Lima to commit a crime.
The DOJ performed a ministerial act that cannot otherwise be reversed upon the discretion of De Lima, without her committing a crime under RA 3019 or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act. For the performance of this ministerial act, which not even De Lima is authorized to reverse, the INC is asking for her resignation and, obviously, the throwing out of the Samson complaint without the prosecutors even conducting a preliminary investigation on such serious allegations involving a non-bailable criminal offense.

I've said that the INC misadventure has been a failure, since the only thing they really got was an irate public against the INC. Now the public image of the INC is lower than ever, and it will take much to repair that. It doesn't help that the INC has internal strife.
But my analysis of why the INC resorted to this it is that precisely because of this internal strife--dati alam naman ng lahat, at huwag nang magkunwari pa mga zombie dito, na malakas ang influence ng INC. But I think there's an internal difference going on inside the INC--at may mga faction sa loob nito na gustong lumabas ito, at meron naman ayaw. With such internal struggle, the INC leadership cannot come to a consensus and make "proper" action kaya nag "INC power" na lang sila to pressure kuno government. I think 2 reason kaya ginawa ito, one is to cover up for its internal break and the other as a show of force na may "control" pa ang isang faction.
I think it's just a matter of time bago mabasag ng tuluyan ang INC. Kung matuloy kasi kaso I can see the INC totally shattering, kaya nga nag panic mode na sila.0 -
I'm actually surprised that the negative publicity becomes a venue for non-INC to be curious about the church. Some are more willing to go to our bible studies to see what really is happening inside.
(Akala siguro, makakakuha sila ng scoop. Meron namang scoop, two scoops of ice-cream para sa refreshment after the bible studies)0 -

Kung baga ang ginawa ng Sanggunian is simply to stall the inevitable.0 -

So why did the local church, known to have considerable influence in local elections and in tight national contests, agree to disperse?
Time and circumstance werent exactly on the INCs side, explained a Palace source.
The group had hoped to bring together at least half a million people to the streets, according to intelligence reports. On Saturday, emcees on the stage called on the police sympathetic to the SAF 44 to join the protest but efforts were for naught.
Even within the INC, there were those who quietly or were anonymously opposed to the orders of their leaders. The 20,000 they managed to muster was a far cry from the initial 500,000 target, said one Palace source.
Division within, numbers, [lack of support] from the military and police, and weather, is how one government official privy to the movements of the INC explained it.
The INC also managed to dilute its own message, said another, when it allowed the anti-Aquino personalities on stage during its Saturday night protest.
Saving face
(We'd like to inform you all that both the Iglesia and the government have spoken to each other and clarified matters. So all is well.)0 -

And this is the first I actually read the Rappler report on the INC dispersal. As I have said in my analysis, the INC is breaking up and has internal division; there is no longer a consensus within itself. It's just a matter of time before this blows open wide. What the Sanggunian did was simply to delay the inevitable break of the INC into factions.0 -
A funny story:
My mother who just came back from our farm asked me yesterday what happened on the rally. I told her that it was already finished. Being a devout INC member she is, she tuned to Net25. Upon learning from the Eagle News about the supposedly '' agreement '' between the government and INC, she jumped to joy chiding De Lime for opposing INC. My uncles who is just as brainwashed as her agreed in unison.
What the heck, I thought to myself. But upon reflection, people like Kidlat and my mother is beyond saving. They were born in INC, indoctrinated since childhood by their parents and the Church. They made psychological barriers if the doctrines and beliefs were questioned. I tried retorting to her once and we had a minor argument. When I told her the criticisms that the Church is facing, she replied ''I just want to go to heaven because I am tired with living. ''
A pity, really.0 -

that's why I hate end of times churches like INC, Harold Camping, Koresh, People's temple etc.
Parang japanese bombers ang mga members, they're on a slow banzai following every order until the inevitable destruction./0 -
