Can Caidic lead Ginebra to a Championship?

klylynklylyn Member PExer

Limpot, Meneses, Caguioa, Helterbrand, David and of course si Menk.

So siguro until 2003 pa natin magagauge yung lakas ng GSM.

....oo nga sa all filipino pa makakasama si menk sa line up ng GSM.....and kahit na makasama agad sa line up si menk....hindi pa sha nakakapag jell sa ibang players ng GSM.....nde porket malakas ang team mo in papers...kaya mo na agad magchampion.....

if Ginebra wins a championship crown within the next two years, it is because they have a bunch of skilled players, it wouldn't mean na magaling na talagang mag-coach si allan.

if Ginebra wouldn't be able to get a crown within the next two years, they shoud replace allan.

I completely agree... san miguel's been winning a lot of titles for the past 3 years, despite having a not-so-bright coach... Caidic won't be the one leading ginebra to a title, it will be Menk...

allan caidic can lead ginebra to a championship... as a player. pero dahil coach na siya, mukhang matatagalan pa o baka hindi na, who knows really?

ang tingin ko kasi kay caidic parang pinahihinog sa pilit sa position nya. to begin with, he doesn't strike me as cerebral or at least having the aptitude for coaching. second, he began his career at the top instead of paying his dues from the bottom going up. marami kasing aral ang mapupulot mo sa pagco-coach kung nagsimula ka sa high school, then sa college, commercial league, hanggang sa PBA.

i know he's giving it his all but ginebra fans are increasingly casting a hostile eye in his coaching. but then again, these same fans never raised a peep when jaworski ran this team aground with his unscientific and often hilarious "this-is-you" style of coaching.

siguro dapat mag-enrol muna siya sa mga coaching camps and refresher courses gaya nina franz pumaren, eric altamirano, chot reyes, and perry ronquillo. let's give him time, hindi pa naman huli ang lahat.

still it doesn't diminish his stature as among the greatest shooters the country has ever produced. hayop ka talaga!

    Poor Allan...

If Ginebra wins within the next two years, it's because of the players.

If Ginebra doesn't, it's because of Caidic.

But then again, that's how the cookie crumbles. Which is why coaching is such a thankless job.

i'm not so sure about ms. joelle's earlier statement because a lot could happen in two years' time. for instance, what if allan caidic leads ginebra to the all-filipino crown this may? well, most will likely credit that to the players because, after all, players win games while coaches lose them. you've heard of that saying, di ba?

but what if he racks up a string of impressive victories vs. opponents ginebra is expected to lose? what if he continues to show up skeptics and doomsayers like me by proving his coaching mettle vs. the top bench tacticians in the league? what if he can finally inspire and motivate his players to play like he used to?

what i'm saying is that allan caidic can earn the respect of his peers in two years' time if and only if he can show the rest of the PBA that his players cannot win without him.

Not this year, but next year (2003) there would be no reason not to...
