Predicted For Year Prediction
About 90: Saint Clement 1 predicted that the world end would occur at any moment. [ 1]
365: A man by the name of St. Hilary of Poitiers, announced that the end would happen that year. It didn't. [ 1]
375 to 400 Saint Martin of Tours, a student of Hilary, was convinced that the end would happen sometime before 400 AD. [ 1]
500: This was the first year-with-a-nice-round-number-panic. The antipope Hippolytus and an earlier Christian academic Sextus Julius Africanus had predicted Armageddon at about this year. [ 1]
May 1000: The body of Charlemagne was disinterred on Pentecost. A legend had arisen that an emperor would rise from his sleep to fight the Antichrist. [ 1]
1147: Gerard of Poehlde decided that the millennium had actually started in 306 CE during Constantine's reign. Thus, the world end would happen in 1306 CE. [ 1]
1179: John of Toledo predicted the end of the world during 1186. This estimate was based on the alignment of many planets. [ 1]
1205: Joachim of Fiore predicted in 1190 that the Antichrist was already in the world, and that King Richard of England would defeat him. The Millennium would then begin, sometime before 1205. [ 1]
1284: Pope Innocent III computed this date by adding 666 years onto the date the Islam was founded. [ 1]
1533: Melchior Hoffman predicted that Jesus' return would happen in 1533 and that the New Jerusalem would be established in Strasbourg, Germany. He was arrested and died in a Strasbourg jail. [ 1]
Sept. 19, 1846: Subject: Marian Visions/End Times At La Salette, it was foretold (according to the "Indexed" so-called "Secret of La Salette" F.J.L.) that the Antichrist would appear in 1865, which obviously didn't occur.
'In the year 1865, the abomination will be seen in holy places; in convents, the flowers of the Church will be decayed and the demon will make himself as the king of hearts. May those who are at the head of religious communities keep themselves on guard for persons whom they must receive, because the demon will use of all his malice in order to introduce into religious orders persons devoted to sin, for disorders and the love of carnal pleasures will be spread by all the earth.'
F.J.L.: It didn't happen! Nor did "...Paris will be burned and Marseilles engulfed; ..." happen!
'It will be during this time that the antichrist will be born of a Hebrew religious, of a false Virgin who will have communication with the old serpent, the master of impurity; his father will be Bishop; at birth, he will vomit blasphemies, he will have teeth; in a word, this will be the devil incarnate; he will let out frightening cries, he will perform wonders, he will nourish himself only on impurities. He will have brothers who, although they will not be like him demons incarnate, will be children of evil; at 12 years, they will make themselves noticed by their brilliant victories which they will win; soon, they will each be at the head of armies, assisted by the legions of hell.'
"...antichrist will be [...] the devil incarnate;" Pardon me? Isn't this an impossibility?
1950: NECEDA - MARY van HOOF a.k.a. MARY ANN HIRT
The "Virgin" told the alleged stigmatic, Mary Ann, that if the Church did not approve the messages soon it would be too late. That was in 1950. It is now [2002] and they are still condemned. We have not seen any chastisement. Our friends told us that almost every week the messages were the "the last messages" but they went on and on anyway. And of course, as in all the other false apparitions, this one is the "last warning on earth" before the chastisement. [16]
1951-53: "Lady of all Nations" (Page 31) Now I see written 51,53. [1951-1953] "These are meteors, watch out for them!" [No meteors appeared from 1951-1953] [12]
1953: "Lady of all Nations" (Pages 77-78-79) 1953 is the year The Lady of All Nations will be declared and world destruction will happen. [Nothing happened in 1953] [12]
1954: on May 31, the same "Lady of all Nations" predicted that Pope Pius XII would proclaim the dogma [Coredemptress) before his death! In 1954 on May 31, the same day, the same "Lady" said that the bishop of Ida Peerdeman would give his permission to build the church "Our Lady " showed to Ida...! Pius XII died October 9 [12]
1960: It has been alleged by several sources that Padre Pio had prophesied about the 3 days of darkness. In order to put this recurring claim to rest, we offer an article from the Voice of Padre Pio, published in 1960.
PADRE PIO DENIES MAKING PROPHECY, LABELS IT FORGERY
ROME (NC-Radio). - The Capuchins' Superior General has flatly denied rumors that famed stigmatic Padre Pio has made prophecies about the imminent destruction of the world. Rumors in Italy and in other countries attribute to Padre Pio the prophecy that two-thirds of the world's population will be destroyed by July 21 [1960].
But Father Clement Neubauer, O.F.M. Cap., Superior General of the Capuchins Friars Minor, has denied that any prophecies were made by Padre Pio, who is also a Capuchin. Father Neubauer, a native of Milwaukee, Wis., quoted Padre Pio as saying that he has "never made nor ever intended to make a prophecy."
1961-1965: GARABANDAL - CONCHITA, LOLI, MARI CRUZ and JACINTA
There are three prophesies in Garabandal: first a world-wide WARNING that everyone will see and feel; second, a MIRACLE at Garabandal that all will see and will remain there forever; and last, the PUNISHMENT.
Twenty-five years later, nothing has happened.
But let us look at them. The warning is supposed to be seen and felt by everyone in the world so that we will know our sins and repent. That being the case we have no need to be watchful and keep our lamp burning, since God will warn us in time to repent. A priest, Father Lius Andreu, is reported to have seen a vision of the coming "miracle" but died without any know cause the next day. Conchita said that his body will be found uncorrupt after the "Great Miracle".
His body has since been exposed but he is not uncorrupt.
This is the same trick Satan used in inventing "Rapture". The most important time in our life is "the moment of death". Satan wants us to think we have no reason to fear this moment; therefore, he invents things like the WARNING or the RAPTURE. The Holy Scripture tells us that Chastisements will come like a thief in the night when we least expect them. But if we have a miracle first, there is no need to be watchful.
Last, but not least, all chastisements are conditional. There is no condition in the punishment told of in the Garabandal prophesies.
There are other prophesies. The "Virgin" said that the pope and Padre Pio would see the miracle. Both are dead. She said that there would be only two more popes and that this would be the last one. Other prophecies make it clear that this is not the last one.
Conchita insists that this is the last pope. However, according to the list of St. Malachi, the next pope will be called the Glory of the Olives. Should we believe Conchita or a saint. In fact the last Holy Father will be named "Peter". Don Bosco prophesied that a Holy Father would die during a great chastisement and a new one would quickly replace him. That has not happened yet. There was also a miracle promised on October 18th of 1961. Nothing happened. And they were told this is the last warning to be given to the world. But since then hundreds of other apparitions around the world have been warning the world of everything under the sun. [13]
The seers of Garabandal held that the Miracle will take place on a Thursday at 8:30 p.m. on or between the eighth and the sixteenth of March, April or May. So too, St. John Bosco (d. 1888) once prophesied that "Wickedness is consumed; sin has come to an end and, before there are two full moons in the month of flowers, the rainbow of peace will appear on earth." A similar message was reiterated in 1995 by the pseudo-anonymous visionary "Sinner-Saint" (Robert Hartman): Before two full moons in the month of flowers have run its course - sin will be destroyed and peace will cover the earth. I tell you, that this month of two full moons is to occur by 1999, or earlier. The month of flowers is one of these months: March April, or May." In order for these prophecies to prove correct, they MUST occur during March of 1999, when a full moon will occur in the second and again on the thirty-first.
Hence, according to the synthetic interpretation of these prophecies, March 11, 1999 represents a particularly prime date on which to expect the Miracle.
If, however, this March runs it course without a great Miracle occurring, then we can turn our attention to the scant handful of remaining dates and deadlines that have been bandied about by Catholic apocalypticists over the last decade or so. A few alternate dates for the Miracle include April 8th, April 15th or May 13th, 1999. Equally precise is the prediction that Pope John Paul II will proclaim the "Final Marian Dogma" on May 31st (Ida Peerdeman) of 1999 (John Bosco). Finally, of course, a number of seers (e.g., Chrsitina Gallagher, Dory Tan) have averred that the entire End Time scenario-sufferings, warnings and chastisements-will play itself out prior to the year 2000. Feb. 10, 1978: Fr. Stephano Gobbi: Message #147
"Darkness will descend upon the Church and will become even more dense after your heavenly Mother has come to get the soul of the first of her beloved sons, Pope Paul VI, who is consummating on the cross his supreme sacrifice." "As long as he lives, thanks to his grievous martyrdom, I can still hold back the arm of God's justice. But after his death, ALL WILL COME CRASHING DOWN."
Pope Paul VI died in 1978. He was succeeded by Pope John-Paul I who also died in the same year, 1978. Now according to Fr. Gobbi, the Virgin Mary told him that starting with the Papacy of John-Paul I, the Catholic Church was supposed to come crashing down. Has it? No! Again, it is asked, did Jesus not say that the gates of Hades would not prevail against His Church? Not only is this false locution a false prophecy, but it also opposes the Sacred Promise of Jesus Christ. [15]
July 3, 1981: Medjugorje: Mary" told the "seers" that the "apparitions" would end on July 3, 1981.
June 7, 1986: Fr. Stephano Gobbi: Message # 326, June 7, 1986, Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary
In these times, you have need above all of being defended from the terrible snares of my Adversary, who has succeeded in establishing his reign in the world. It is the reign which is opposed to Christ; it is the reign of the Antichrist. In this last part of your century, this reign of his will reach the peak of its strength, of its power, of its great seduction. The hour is in preparation when the man of iniquity, who wants to put himself in the place of God to have himself adored as God, is about to manifest himself in all his power. [ 8]
Sept. 11, 1988: Fr. Stephano Gobbi Message #389(d)(f) September 11, 1988,
"In the period of ten years, there will come to the completion that fullness of time which was pointed out to you by me, beginning with La Salette all the way to my most recent and present apparitions." "In the period of ten years, there will come to the completion the time of the great tribulation, which has been foretold to you in Holy Scripture, before the second coming of Jesus."
According to Fr. Stefano Gobbi, September 11, 1998, was supposed to see the completion of all of Mary's promises that have been given to the world since the days of La Salette, including all the promises that she gave to Fr. Gobbi himself, that including the Second Coming of Jesus. As previously mentioned, the Holy Catholic Church refers to this Second Coming as the Antichrist's deception. We do not have to look far for proof of the deception. 1998 came and went - nothing happened. As a general rule, Church approved spiritual manifestations reflect a HONEST Virgin Mary. When she says she will give a sign, she gives it, such as the dancing sun in Fatima on October 13, 1917. The problem that we have here is that the Virgin Mary that Fr. Gobbi knows is one that lies, that makes broken promises, that contradicts the teachings of the Catholic Church, etc... That is not the Virgin Mary that the Holy Catholic Church promotes, nor is it the Mother of God, nor the Immaculate Heart of Mary. [15]
Sept. 18, 1988: Fr. Stephano Gobbi: Message # 389, September 18, 1988, Lourdes, France
You have entered into my times. On this day, I am asking you to consecrate to me all the time that still separates you from the end of this century of yours.
It is a period of ten years. These are ten very important years. These are ten decisive years. I am asking you to spend them with me because you are entering into the final period of the second Advent, which will lead you to the triumph of my Immaculate Heart in the glorious coming of my Son Jesus.
In this period of ten years there will come to completion that fullness of time which was pointed out to you by me, beginning with La Salette all the way to my most recent and present apparitions.
In this period of ten years there will come to its culmination that purification which, for a number of years now, you have been living through and therefore the sufferings will become greater for all.
[Matthew 24:29 And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened and the moon shall not give her light and the stars shall fall from heaven and the powers of heaven shall be moved.]

1991: Mother Shipton, a 16th century mystic predicted the end of the world: "...The world to an end shall come; in nineteen hundred and ninety-one." [ 2]
Approx. 1994: There have been continual reports that Jesus and Mary have bee appearing in Conyers, GA on the 13th of every month to deliver a message to Nancy Fowler, a homemaker and nurse. Over 1 million pilgrims have visited her prayer site. On 1994-FEB-6, Jesus is recorded as saying: "Conflicts will turn into wars....Then so will the earth tremble in many places. The earth will divide. The earth will divide and take away your riches. Some of you will die suddenly. You will have no warning...The clock continues to tick. The hour is rapidly approaching when one disaster after another will befall you. There will be fighting everywhere. There will be famine and polluted water in many places." Dec., 1994: Fr. Stephano Gobbi. The Blessed Virgin Mary at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City. 'I confirm to you that, by the great jubilee of the year 2000, there will take place the Triumph of my Immaculate Heart, of which I foretold you at Fatima, and this will come to pass with the return of Jesus in glory to establish His reign in the world.'
"Father Gobbi notes: Our Blessed Mother has said, 'What will come to pass is something so very great that it will exceed anything that has taken place since the beginning of the world.' [11]
Apr. 10, 1997: Dan Millar, of Surrey, BC, Canada and Bob Wadsworth of the Biblical Astronomy newsletter are two religious researchers. They followed the age-old tradition of looking for signs in the heavens for the arrival of the Antichrist, second coming of Christ, etc. Ancient prophecies told of heavenly events and even a cross in the sky in advance of momentous developments. Millar and Wadsworth predicted the arrival of the Antichrist on APR-10. Dan suggested that we watch news from the Vatican and from Jerusalem on that day, because he expected some sort of coup by the Antichrist. He was expected to come to power in the Vatican as Pope Peter II.
One heavenly indicator was the intersection by two comets of the star Algol in the constellation Perseus. Comets Hyakutake and Hale-Bopp intersected the star on the same date (APR-11) on two adjacent years (Hyakutake in 1996 and Hale-Bopp in 1997). Plotting the two comets' trajectories over the period APR-1 to APR-30 on the two years forms an almost perfect cross. They intersected between the eyes of the Medusa head that Perseus is holding in his left hand. "Algol" means "Demon Star" in Arabic. The head is known as Rosh Satan (the head of Satan) in Hebrew. There was one further heavenly sign: on the evening of APR-10, there will be a lunar occultation of the star Aldebaran in the constellation Taurus. [ 2]
1998: Fr. Sefano Gobbi, a Roman Catholic visionary, predicted on 1989-JUN-17 that the end of the world, the final judgment and the dawning of the Marian Reign of Peace would unfold in 1998. [ 2]
1999: Spokesperson for Nelly Hurtado, a visionary from El Salvador, claimed that the virgin Mary appeared and warned that a comet will appear in the sky in 1999 as a sign of the end. Also, World War III will break out and the Great Miracle predicted at Garabandal will happen. [ 9]
1999: Father Alexander McKenna claims that the Virgin Mary spoke to him in the Chapel of the Apparitions where she had first appeared to the children of Fatima in Portugal. Her message was that unless people abandon Atheism, sin, war and hatred, that most of the world's population will be destroyed before the end of 1999 in a nuclear and environmental disaster. Satan "will infiltrate into the highest levels of the [Roman Catholic] church including the Throne of Peter." 1 The war will be intense: rivers will turn to steam; cities will be leveled; the whole world will be burned with fire.

Mar., 1999: Roman Catholic visionary called by the pen name Robert Hartman predicted that "the Miracle" would happen before the year 2000, in a month that contains two full moons. The last opportunity for this to happen was 1999-MAR, when a full moon occurred on the 2nd and 31st. By including the prophecies of other visionaries, 1999-MAR-11 appeared to be a prime date for the Miracle. [ 2]
1999: Dory Tan, one of the visionaries associated with the Greensides' Farm in Marmora ON had been receiving public messages from the virgin Mary up to 1998-OCT-13 and private messages since. She says that the year 2000 is a "deadline" for Christian preparation. "On June 6th, 1998, Our Blessed Mother purportedly informed Mrs. Tan that: 'All of you who are sick and have problems and do not have faith, I will give you a chance. I wish all my children before the year 2000 to be prepared. I want you all to be with me and my Son Jesus, in His Kingdom in heaven.' " 1 On 1999-JAN-1, Ms. Tan received a message that "there are many events to occur before the end of 1999, and that She [the blessed virgin Mary] will tell us in advance of them happening. She says that what is happening in Kosovo currently, is nothing compared to what is coming." [ 3]
2000: Ronald O'Brien had prophesized that a dark cross would be suspended in the stratosphere between JAN-19 and JAN-31. His next prophecy was for Garabandal, Spain: all those present would be cured of infirmities and disabilities. Finally, after April, Armageddon will come. Four billion humans will die, [ 3]
Sept. 21, 2000: Dan Millar, mentioned above, estimates this date as that of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Four events will happen on that day, a Thursday. The sidereal day is reset. It is also the Jewish New Year, using the Canaanite calendar that was in use within ancient Israel prior to the Babylonian Captivity. It is the time of the Jewish "Feast of Jubilees" according to a message given by the Virgin Mary to Father Stefan Gobbi. This feast occurs only once every fifty years. This date is also the Autumn Equinox. [ 4]
2000: The Virgin Mary is said to have communicated to Father Stephano Gobbi of the Marian Movement of Priests: "I confirm to you that, by the Great Jubilee Year 2000, there will take place the Triumph of my Immaculate Heart, of which I foretold you at Fatima, and this will come to pass with the return of Jesus in glory, to establish His Reign in the world." 3 On occasions, Father Gobbi separated the Triumph from the return of Jesus; only the former was to happen in the year 2000. 2000: "On January 1, 1990, through Father Stephano Gobbi, Mary further stated that she is the Mother of the Second Advent," she says: 'I want to take you by the hand and accompany you on the threshold of this decade, which you are beginning precisely on this day, January 1, 1990. It is a very important decade. It is a period of time particularly marked by a strong presence of the Lord among you. During the last decade of your century the events which I have foretold to you will have reached their completion.'"[ 5]
2000: "Our Blessed Mother to Josefina-Maria, September, 1993, said: 'This century many of you will see the reign of Our Two Hearts established on the earth.' "[ 6]
2000: "In December, 1994, Mary appeared to Father Stephano Gobbi and said: 'I confirm to you that by the great jubilee of the year 2000, there will take place the triumph of my Immaculate heart, of which I foretold you at FATIMA, and this will come to pass with the return of Jesus in glory to establish his reign in the world. What will come to pass is something so very great that it will exceed anything that has taken place since the beginning of the world.' "[ 7]
2000: Christina Galagher, like the visionary Patricia Talbot (of El Cajas, Ecuador) has seen in a vision the anti-Christ. He seemed foreign to Christina, dark skinned. (Patricia tells us he is made from the blood of the devil and that his work has begun in an indirect way. It will become direct.)
Christina also says that darkness will cover the whole earth. Our Lady told her, "The world will be plunged into the depths of its sin and will drink of its bitterness. Fearful lightning bolts will flash such as never have been seen before." (In the next issue we will tell more about the Three Days of Darkness) Christina tells us: "Our Blessed Mother then told me to give a message to my spiritual director, to tell him to read the Seven Seals of God, especially the seventh Seal, [from the Book of Revelation] and She said: "Pray in meditation on the Passion of Jesus." After a moment's silence, Our Lady added: "The clock, its alarm is set. The hour is close. Pray, pray, pray! My child, the Purification will come. Those who have served God in His Light need not fear." Christina believes all this will happen before the year 2000.

Religious Tolerance
Like many of the neo-visionaries who are cropping up in the lee of the millennium, Mr. O'Brien is a traditionalist who doubts the validity of the liturgical reforms of Vatican II, and he is an ardent apocalypticist. So too, like so many of the fin du mill?naire visionaries, Ron is convinced that he is to be the last genuine visionary before the unfolding of the eschatological scenario...
Ron has also announced that he will, in essence, validate his own prophecies by predicting the Second Coming of Jesus Christ eight days in advance. In addition to serving as the repository of this most forbidden of eschatological facts, Mr. O'Brien is also a veritable wealth of other interesting eschatological lore and exegetical 'res inauditae'. By way of example, he has predicted that the Miracle promised at Garabandal will occur on April 13, 2000. Similarly, he has claimed that Yawheh told him that Jesus was really born on January 6, 4 A.D., placing the true advent of the second millennium in the year 2004. In his comments on this date, O'Brien has hinted that this putative bi-millennial year of 2004 will also see the Second Coming.

1950: NECEDA - MARY van HOOF a.k.a. MARY ANN HIRT
The "Virgin" told the alleged stigmatic, Mary Ann, that if the Church did not approve the messages soon it would be too late. That was in 1950. It is now [2002] and they are still condemned. We have not seen any chastisement. Our friends told us that almost every week the messages were the "the last messages" but they went on and on anyway. And of course, as in all the other false apparitions, this one is the "last warning on earth" before the chastisement. [16]

1954: on May 31, the same "Lady of all Nations" predicted that Pope Pius XII would proclaim the dogma [Coredemptress) before his death! In 1954 on May 31, the same day, the same "Lady" said that the bishop of Ida Peerdeman would give his permission to build the church "Our Lady " showed to Ida...! Pius XII died October 9 [12]
1960: It has been alleged by several sources that Padre Pio had prophesied about the 3 days of darkness. In order to put this recurring claim to rest, we offer an article from the Voice of Padre Pio, published in 1960.
PADRE PIO DENIES MAKING PROPHECY, LABELS IT FORGERY
ROME (NC-Radio). - The Capuchins' Superior General has flatly denied rumors that famed stigmatic Padre Pio has made prophecies about the imminent destruction of the world. Rumors in Italy and in other countries attribute to Padre Pio the prophecy that two-thirds of the world's population will be destroyed by July 21 [1960].
But Father Clement Neubauer, O.F.M. Cap., Superior General of the Capuchins Friars Minor, has denied that any prophecies were made by Padre Pio, who is also a Capuchin. Father Neubauer, a native of Milwaukee, Wis., quoted Padre Pio as saying that he has "never made nor ever intended to make a prophecy."
1961-1965: GARABANDAL - CONCHITA, LOLI, MARI CRUZ and JACINTA
There are three prophesies in Garabandal: first a world-wide WARNING that everyone will see and feel; second, a MIRACLE at Garabandal that all will see and will remain there forever; and last, the PUNISHMENT.
Twenty-five years later, nothing has happened.
But let us look at them. The warning is supposed to be seen and felt by everyone in the world so that we will know our sins and repent. That being the case we have no need to be watchful and keep our lamp burning, since God will warn us in time to repent. A priest, Father Lius Andreu, is reported to have seen a vision of the coming "miracle" but died without any know cause the next day. Conchita said that his body will be found uncorrupt after the "Great Miracle".
His body has since been exposed but he is not uncorrupt.
This is the same trick Satan used in inventing "Rapture". The most important time in our life is "the moment of death". Satan wants us to think we have no reason to fear this moment; therefore, he invents things like the WARNING or the RAPTURE. The Holy Scripture tells us that Chastisements will come like a thief in the night when we least expect them. But if we have a miracle first, there is no need to be watchful.
Last, but not least, all chastisements are conditional. There is no condition in the punishment told of in the Garabandal prophesies.
There are other prophesies. The "Virgin" said that the pope and Padre Pio would see the miracle. Both are dead. She said that there would be only two more popes and that this would be the last one. Other prophecies make it clear that this is not the last one.
Conchita insists that this is the last pope. However, according to the list of St. Malachi, the next pope will be called the Glory of the Olives. Should we believe Conchita or a saint. In fact the last Holy Father will be named "Peter". Don Bosco prophesied that a Holy Father would die during a great chastisement and a new one would quickly replace him. That has not happened yet. There was also a miracle promised on October 18th of 1961. Nothing happened. And they were told this is the last warning to be given to the world. But since then hundreds of other apparitions around the world have been warning the world of everything under the sun. [13]
The seers of Garabandal held that the Miracle will take place on a Thursday at 8:30 p.m. on or between the eighth and the sixteenth of March, April or May. So too, St. John Bosco (d. 1888) once prophesied that "Wickedness is consumed; sin has come to an end and, before there are two full moons in the month of flowers, the rainbow of peace will appear on earth." A similar message was reiterated in 1995 by the pseudo-anonymous visionary "Sinner-Saint" (Robert Hartman): Before two full moons in the month of flowers have run its course - sin will be destroyed and peace will cover the earth. I tell you, that this month of two full moons is to occur by 1999, or earlier. The month of flowers is one of these months: March April, or May." In order for these prophecies to prove correct, they MUST occur during March of 1999, when a full moon will occur in the second and again on the thirty-first.
Hence, according to the synthetic interpretation of these prophecies, March 11, 1999 represents a particularly prime date on which to expect the Miracle.
If, however, this March runs it course without a great Miracle occurring, then we can turn our attention to the scant handful of remaining dates and deadlines that have been bandied about by Catholic apocalypticists over the last decade or so. A few alternate dates for the Miracle include April 8th, April 15th or May 13th, 1999. Equally precise is the prediction that Pope John Paul II will proclaim the "Final Marian Dogma" on May 31st (Ida Peerdeman) of 1999 (John Bosco). Finally, of course, a number of seers (e.g., Chrsitina Gallagher, Dory Tan) have averred that the entire End Time scenario-sufferings, warnings and chastisements-will play itself out prior to the year 2000. "Darkness will descend upon the Church and will become even more dense after your heavenly Mother has come to get the soul of the first of her beloved sons, Pope Paul VI, who is consummating on the cross his supreme sacrifice." "As long as he lives, thanks to his grievous martyrdom, I can still hold back the arm of God's justice. But after his death, ALL WILL COME CRASHING DOWN."
Pope Paul VI died in 1978. He was succeeded by Pope John-Paul I who also died in the same year, 1978. Now according to Fr. Gobbi, the Virgin Mary told him that starting with the Papacy of John-Paul I, the Catholic Church was supposed to come crashing down. Has it? No! Again, it is asked, did Jesus not say that the gates of Hades would not prevail against His Church? Not only is this false locution a false prophecy, but it also opposes the Sacred Promise of Jesus Christ. [15]
July 3, 1981: Medjugorje: Mary" told the "seers" that the "apparitions" would end on July 3, 1981.
June 7, 1986: Fr. Stephano Gobbi: Message # 326, June 7, 1986, Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary
In these times, you have need above all of being defended from the terrible snares of my Adversary, who has succeeded in establishing his reign in the world. It is the reign which is opposed to Christ; it is the reign of the Antichrist. In this last part of your century, this reign of his will reach the peak of its strength, of its power, of its great seduction. The hour is in preparation when the man of iniquity, who wants to put himself in the place of God to have himself adored as God, is about to manifest himself in all his power. [ 8]
Sept. 11, 1988: Fr. Stephano Gobbi Message #389(d)(f) September 11, 1988,
"In the period of ten years, there will come to the completion that fullness of time which was pointed out to you by me, beginning with La Salette all the way to my most recent and present apparitions." "In the period of ten years, there will come to the completion the time of the great tribulation, which has been foretold to you in Holy Scripture, before the second coming of Jesus."
According to Fr. Stefano Gobbi, September 11, 1998, was supposed to see the completion of all of Mary's promises that have been given to the world since the days of La Salette, including all the promises that she gave to Fr. Gobbi himself, that including the Second Coming of Jesus. As previously mentioned, the Holy Catholic Church refers to this Second Coming as the Antichrist's deception. We do not have to look far for proof of the deception. 1998 came and went - nothing happened. As a general rule, Church approved spiritual manifestations reflect a HONEST Virgin Mary. When she says she will give a sign, she gives it, such as the dancing sun in Fatima on October 13, 1917. The problem that we have here is that the Virgin Mary that Fr. Gobbi knows is one that lies, that makes broken promises, that contradicts the teachings of the Catholic Church, etc... That is not the Virgin Mary that the Holy Catholic Church promotes, nor is it the Mother of God, nor the Immaculate Heart of Mary. [15]

You have entered into my times. On this day, I am asking you to consecrate to me all the time that still separates you from the end of this century of yours.
It is a period of ten years. These are ten very important years. These are ten decisive years. I am asking you to spend them with me because you are entering into the final period of the second Advent, which will lead you to the triumph of my Immaculate Heart in the glorious coming of my Son Jesus.
In this period of ten years there will come to completion that fullness of time which was pointed out to you by me, beginning with La Salette all the way to my most recent and present apparitions.
In this period of ten years there will come to its culmination that purification which, for a number of years now, you have been living through and therefore the sufferings will become greater for all.

1991: Mother Shipton, a 16th century mystic predicted the end of the world: "...The world to an end shall come; in nineteen hundred and ninety-one." [ 2]
Approx. 1994: There have been continual reports that Jesus and Mary have bee appearing in Conyers, GA on the 13th of every month to deliver a message to Nancy Fowler, a homemaker and nurse. Over 1 million pilgrims have visited her prayer site. On 1994-FEB-6, Jesus is recorded as saying: "Conflicts will turn into wars....Then so will the earth tremble in many places. The earth will divide. The earth will divide and take away your riches. Some of you will die suddenly. You will have no warning...The clock continues to tick. The hour is rapidly approaching when one disaster after another will befall you. There will be fighting everywhere. There will be famine and polluted water in many places." Dec., 1994: Fr. Stephano Gobbi. The Blessed Virgin Mary at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City. 'I confirm to you that, by the great jubilee of the year 2000, there will take place the Triumph of my Immaculate Heart, of which I foretold you at Fatima, and this will come to pass with the return of Jesus in glory to establish His reign in the world.'
"Father Gobbi notes: Our Blessed Mother has said, 'What will come to pass is something so very great that it will exceed anything that has taken place since the beginning of the world.' [11]
Apr. 10, 1997: Dan Millar, of Surrey, BC, Canada and Bob Wadsworth of the Biblical Astronomy newsletter are two religious researchers. They followed the age-old tradition of looking for signs in the heavens for the arrival of the Antichrist, second coming of Christ, etc. Ancient prophecies told of heavenly events and even a cross in the sky in advance of momentous developments. Millar and Wadsworth predicted the arrival of the Antichrist on APR-10. Dan suggested that we watch news from the Vatican and from Jerusalem on that day, because he expected some sort of coup by the Antichrist. He was expected to come to power in the Vatican as Pope Peter II.
One heavenly indicator was the intersection by two comets of the star Algol in the constellation Perseus. Comets Hyakutake and Hale-Bopp intersected the star on the same date (APR-11) on two adjacent years (Hyakutake in 1996 and Hale-Bopp in 1997). Plotting the two comets' trajectories over the period APR-1 to APR-30 on the two years forms an almost perfect cross. They intersected between the eyes of the Medusa head that Perseus is holding in his left hand. "Algol" means "Demon Star" in Arabic. The head is known as Rosh Satan (the head of Satan) in Hebrew. There was one further heavenly sign: on the evening of APR-10, there will be a lunar occultation of the star Aldebaran in the constellation Taurus. [ 2]
1998: Fr. Sefano Gobbi, a Roman Catholic visionary, predicted on 1989-JUN-17 that the end of the world, the final judgment and the dawning of the Marian Reign of Peace would unfold in 1998. [ 2]
1999: Spokesperson for Nelly Hurtado, a visionary from El Salvador, claimed that the virgin Mary appeared and warned that a comet will appear in the sky in 1999 as a sign of the end. Also, World War III will break out and the Great Miracle predicted at Garabandal will happen. [ 9]
1999: Father Alexander McKenna claims that the Virgin Mary spoke to him in the Chapel of the Apparitions where she had first appeared to the children of Fatima in Portugal. Her message was that unless people abandon Atheism, sin, war and hatred, that most of the world's population will be destroyed before the end of 1999 in a nuclear and environmental disaster. Satan "will infiltrate into the highest levels of the [Roman Catholic] church including the Throne of Peter." 1 The war will be intense: rivers will turn to steam; cities will be leveled; the whole world will be burned with fire.

Mar., 1999: Roman Catholic visionary called by the pen name Robert Hartman predicted that "the Miracle" would happen before the year 2000, in a month that contains two full moons. The last opportunity for this to happen was 1999-MAR, when a full moon occurred on the 2nd and 31st. By including the prophecies of other visionaries, 1999-MAR-11 appeared to be a prime date for the Miracle. [ 2]
1999: Dory Tan, one of the visionaries associated with the Greensides' Farm in Marmora ON had been receiving public messages from the virgin Mary up to 1998-OCT-13 and private messages since. She says that the year 2000 is a "deadline" for Christian preparation. "On June 6th, 1998, Our Blessed Mother purportedly informed Mrs. Tan that: 'All of you who are sick and have problems and do not have faith, I will give you a chance. I wish all my children before the year 2000 to be prepared. I want you all to be with me and my Son Jesus, in His Kingdom in heaven.' " 1 On 1999-JAN-1, Ms. Tan received a message that "there are many events to occur before the end of 1999, and that She [the blessed virgin Mary] will tell us in advance of them happening. She says that what is happening in Kosovo currently, is nothing compared to what is coming." [ 3]
2000: Ronald O'Brien had prophesized that a dark cross would be suspended in the stratosphere between JAN-19 and JAN-31. His next prophecy was for Garabandal, Spain: all those present would be cured of infirmities and disabilities. Finally, after April, Armageddon will come. Four billion humans will die, [ 3]
Sept. 21, 2000: Dan Millar, mentioned above, estimates this date as that of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Four events will happen on that day, a Thursday. The sidereal day is reset. It is also the Jewish New Year, using the Canaanite calendar that was in use within ancient Israel prior to the Babylonian Captivity. It is the time of the Jewish "Feast of Jubilees" according to a message given by the Virgin Mary to Father Stefan Gobbi. This feast occurs only once every fifty years. This date is also the Autumn Equinox. [ 4]
2000: The Virgin Mary is said to have communicated to Father Stephano Gobbi of the Marian Movement of Priests: "I confirm to you that, by the Great Jubilee Year 2000, there will take place the Triumph of my Immaculate Heart, of which I foretold you at Fatima, and this will come to pass with the return of Jesus in glory, to establish His Reign in the world." 3 On occasions, Father Gobbi separated the Triumph from the return of Jesus; only the former was to happen in the year 2000. 2000: "On January 1, 1990, through Father Stephano Gobbi, Mary further stated that she is the Mother of the Second Advent," she says: 'I want to take you by the hand and accompany you on the threshold of this decade, which you are beginning precisely on this day, January 1, 1990. It is a very important decade. It is a period of time particularly marked by a strong presence of the Lord among you. During the last decade of your century the events which I have foretold to you will have reached their completion.'"[ 5]
2000: "Our Blessed Mother to Josefina-Maria, September, 1993, said: 'This century many of you will see the reign of Our Two Hearts established on the earth.' "[ 6]
2000: "In December, 1994, Mary appeared to Father Stephano Gobbi and said: 'I confirm to you that by the great jubilee of the year 2000, there will take place the triumph of my Immaculate heart, of which I foretold you at FATIMA, and this will come to pass with the return of Jesus in glory to establish his reign in the world. What will come to pass is something so very great that it will exceed anything that has taken place since the beginning of the world.' "[ 7]
2000: Christina Galagher, like the visionary Patricia Talbot (of El Cajas, Ecuador) has seen in a vision the anti-Christ. He seemed foreign to Christina, dark skinned. (Patricia tells us he is made from the blood of the devil and that his work has begun in an indirect way. It will become direct.)
Christina also says that darkness will cover the whole earth. Our Lady told her, "The world will be plunged into the depths of its sin and will drink of its bitterness. Fearful lightning bolts will flash such as never have been seen before." (In the next issue we will tell more about the Three Days of Darkness) Christina tells us: "Our Blessed Mother then told me to give a message to my spiritual director, to tell him to read the Seven Seals of God, especially the seventh Seal, [from the Book of Revelation] and She said: "Pray in meditation on the Passion of Jesus." After a moment's silence, Our Lady added: "The clock, its alarm is set. The hour is close. Pray, pray, pray! My child, the Purification will come. Those who have served God in His Light need not fear." Christina believes all this will happen before the year 2000.

Religious Tolerance
Like many of the neo-visionaries who are cropping up in the lee of the millennium, Mr. O'Brien is a traditionalist who doubts the validity of the liturgical reforms of Vatican II, and he is an ardent apocalypticist. So too, like so many of the fin du mill?naire visionaries, Ron is convinced that he is to be the last genuine visionary before the unfolding of the eschatological scenario...
Ron has also announced that he will, in essence, validate his own prophecies by predicting the Second Coming of Jesus Christ eight days in advance. In addition to serving as the repository of this most forbidden of eschatological facts, Mr. O'Brien is also a veritable wealth of other interesting eschatological lore and exegetical 'res inauditae'. By way of example, he has predicted that the Miracle promised at Garabandal will occur on April 13, 2000. Similarly, he has claimed that Yawheh told him that Jesus was really born on January 6, 4 A.D., placing the true advent of the second millennium in the year 2004. In his comments on this date, O'Brien has hinted that this putative bi-millennial year of 2004 will also see the Second Coming.

I don't speak in behalf of the church, but i believe the church would just shrug it off.
so it's the magisterium to decide which is official and which is not, whether successful prophecy or otherwise? and not on the validity of the prophecy?
the posted failed prophecy have some that came from saints and clergymen, does this mean that their failures are still official roman catholic prophecy?0 -
Is the Pope's infallibility biblical? Example, Pope Benedict's abolishment of limbo. This has been a Catholic belief for almost 800 years. Are Popes allowed to change teachings such as this?0
