Why don't atheists believe that a man named Jesus lived?

I understand why an atheist would not believe God the father but I am curious to know why many of you say that Jesus is a myth or never lived. The bible was all written as separate books before it was all put together as one book so why would four different people. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John write four separate books about their lives with Jesus if he never lived.
