Oil Leak

Gurus asking for your help,
My car is a Honda civic 99 LXI
And has oil leaking its been 2 months na siguro
I just recently changed oil and replaced valve cover seal/gasket as i have seen leaks coming from valve cover. now it doesnt leak no more.
But couple days a go i checked my engine bay and long and behold oil was dripping wet sa engine bay ko, driver side part, sa may timing belt side below it.
Dinala ko sa Unioil service center and check namin yung ilalim then sabi ng mekaniko leak daw from crank shaft and cam shaft? if im not mistaken.
And oil seals need to be replaced daw.

Nag bawas na yung oil ko minimun level na sya ngayon. And my question is, Yun lang ba talaga need palitan?
And yung cost ng repair is how much kaya sa maga naka expirience na ng ganito need your insights sirs.
Kasi sabi ng mekaniko is 2.5k daw labor pag ganun.

And plus yung rack and pinion may leak din. How much kaya cost ng repair nun? and labor?

For the crankshaft and camshaft leaks (crank and camshaft oil seals), baka mga P10-15k tops. I suggest while you are having that done, change mo na din timing belt, tensioner bearing, idler bearing and water pump para isang labor at bukasan at labor lang. Kasama na yan dun sa P10-15k.

Yung rack and pinion leak, repair kit lang yan, siguro mga P2.5-3k.

If I were you, I would have the car thoroughly tested. P2,500 for labour is OK in my opinion provided that they really solve the problem but the thing is, you don't know whether there are more problems that will come out so the first thing to do is to find out all of your car's problems first.

And delikado ba mga ganitong leaks? Can i still use my car? Balak ko kasi sana sa Dec 1st week ko pa pagawa, la pa kasi budget.

Do you have a trusted mechanic i can go to? To have all this repaired sir?

Thanks sir! But how and where can i have my car checked thoroughly? Sa casa may 18 point check sila. Is it free? or may charge din? Do you happen to know sir? You have a trusted mechanic you can recommend sir?
Ngayon kasi kung san san lang ako nag papacheck e.

Its a good idea kasi to replace those stuff I mentioned during a regular timing belt change, mura lang naman sila (compared to an engine overhaul that will result) and the next replacement can come at the next tming belt change (80,000-100,000km). Yung iba kasi tinitipid na belt lang ang papalitan. I suggest against using your car unless its to bring it to a mechanic and even then bring oil to top off. Sorry, pero owning a car is not just about cleaning it, filling it with gas and driving. Parang isang anak na din yan na kailangan alagaan kapag may sakit.

Yung timing belt, bago naman pala, so you can re-use it. So baka mga P10-12k na lang. Kung gusto mo makatipid, ikaw bumili ng parts sa Banawe. Yung seals make sure na orig (huwag ka mag-tipid nito), while the bearings pwede na Koyo (tumatagal naman yun) at yung water pump GMC (mura din). Yung rack and pinion repair kit, also make sure na orig din.

Mechanics at talyer, routine lang naman na work yan. Kung malapit ka sa Commonwealth, I recommend sa Petron Commonwealth (beside Toyota and Rapide).

Sometimes you really don't know what needs to be replaced or fixed until the mechanic opens the engine. Yung diagnostic ng unioil tingin palang nila yun. So you really have to bring it to a reliable shop. Magpa 2nd or 3rd opinion ka pa sa iba pang shops para may idea ka.

Bakit hindi mo nga pala ibalik sa pinag pa gawan mo ng valve cover/gasket? baka mamaya back job nila yan.

Bumalik ako sa Mekaniko sa Uni oil and ang sabi *** nya na papalitan is yung Crankshaft Oil seal and its not the rear one pala, Yung sa bandang lower pulley daw. And Cam shaft oil seal Upper part. You guys have any idea what that is? Sana yun lang talaga need palitan. And hes asking 2.5k for Labor.

iba ba ang crank shaft oil seal saka rear main oil seal? yun daw sira sa akin kaya may tagas ng langis na tumutulo sa ilalim. P3K ang labor plus parts kasi kelangan ibaba ang tranny.

Napagaw ko na last Friday sa Carpower Along Taft ave MRT,
Bibili lang sana ako ng parts sa Carpower kasi may nakapag sabi na mura daw OEM parts ng Honda dun and punta pa ako sa Fairview for my Mechanic ang layo considering Makati lanag ako buti nag kakabit din sila so dun ko na pinagawa, Oil seal nila 250 *** had to buy 2pcs for Crank and Cam oil seal then labor is 1.8k then pinacheck ko din steering wheel ko kasi may leak so pati yung repair kit ng steering wheel pump pinalitan din cost is 1.7k for the repair kit then may tagas din yung brake fluid so may pinalitan yung part sa drum brake left side so ayun. under observation parin ako kung wala na talaga leak. Sana wala na kasi gastos ko is almost 5k. Total labor is 2k then rest is parts na. Magaling din gumawa ngayon may resident mechanic na ako. If you have any question kung kaya ko sagutin just post it here.

si don don ba mechanic mo? nagpa estimate ako sa kanila, nasa 3K daw kung rear main oil seal ang papalitan. ang quote sa akin ng oil seal is 650.

Mahal talaga pag Rear boss. Mahal din labor kasi baba transmission. Mga ganyan tlaga presyo.
Ang Hanapin mo si Jomar. Maayos din gumawa. Agahan mo lang pag mag papgawa ka. Ako before 7am andun na e.

Need help my 2000 mazda familia recently had a gasket cover change. Pero binalik ko na sa mechanic since may bago na naman leak ng oil. He told me na crankshaft and camshaft daw may tagas. Related po ba yung dalawa sorry babae kasi ako no idea. Baka kasi naloko lang ako now magbabayad na naman ako ng labor. Magkano po kaya ang aabutin for the labor + parts?
