New Restaurants in Fort BGC Worth Trying

By new I mean less than 2 years old. Don't mind the high price as long as it's worth it. No overpriced and overrated establishments like Wildflour.

    Dati tambayan lang ng mga matronang taga dasma yan. Pero ang sarap ng pasta.

    Have tried Va Bene na. OK naman. Masarap yung veal cheek pero masyado maliit yung serving. Almost all dishes are good for 1 lang.

    Hungry Hound is even worse than Wildflour, in my opinion. At least si Wildflour, if half the price yun pagkain, baka pwede na. Saka saving grace yung cronuts. Hungry Hound - overpriced, nothing special. Kahit iced tea ang mahal-mahal eh parang lipton iced tea lang. I just like the ambiance. Duck fries in truffle oil was really horrid - sana di nalang truffle oil (isa pang overrated ingredient for me).
  • Wildflour is my brother's favorite resto in BGC, their cronuts is his favorite, nag uuwi yan ng 3 boxes pabalik ng US :lol:

    Hindi lang marunong gumamit ng truffle oil yung tao.

    Sorry as off topic:
    Re truffle oil, there are good ones that are infused with real truffles. It is quite expensive though.

    I used to buy truffle oil (the artificial ones), and it does really have a fake flavor to it. And it gets stale fast.

    ^ Nice to know the info above though re the general concessions of the chefs regarding truffle oil :-)

    Nakatikim ka na ba ng truffle, much less truffle oil? Or have you tasted the difference between real infused and fake?
