IDOL woship of the Catholics, true or not?

May kabuluhan ba ang pagsamba o mga religious rituals na ginawa ng mga Catholics sa mga rebulto???

Do you guys feel the creeps if you went in a Catholic church with all those giant figurines? It gets a lot creepier if you hear them pray in a monotonous never ending repeat phrases under lighted candles.

You don't have to go to an amusement park and pay to get creeped out. This one is free.

Checked the video.... those are the typical reactions you give if you honor sacred images... INC will also have the same reaction if the same thing happen to the statue of felix manalo, or if you have a picture of your love one getting burnt (others will cry over a burnt picture of the love ones)

Or how about the philippine arena, i bet a some INC cried when PA opened. But am pretty much sure they will say they do not worship PA, this is the exact answer we tell this hypocrites over our veneration of images but always fell on deaf ears.

Kung gusto mo ma experience kung paanu iyong ritual at pagsamba ng mga Kulto,. pasok ka lang sa simbahang Katoliko.

Ilang beses na akong nadaan sa quiapo noong student pa lang ako kapag black nazarene ang nakita ko ay kaguluhan, kapanatikuhan, may mga lasing sa kalye. Lahat naman ng anti-Catholics iisa lang ang sinasabi eh, may nagaganap na idol-worship sa loob ng Catholic Church, maliban lang sa Catholics mismo na nagsasabing malaking kasinungalingan yun.

Imbes na sa tsismis maniwala suriin ng mabuti ang katotohanan.

Kaya hindi ako sasali sa mga Manalista group o Dating daan o Born Again dahil umaasa sila sa pasak malisya.

Sa totoo lang, 'yung idol worship per se na ginagawang diyos ang isang inanimate sculpture, hindi na nangyayari 'yang sa modern time (if not bihira). Idolatry can come in different forms these days. 'Yung mga taong ginagawang diyos ang pera, kasikatan at kapangyarihan ang mga modern offenders ng idolatry.

Just to be clear, here's our (Catholic) definition of idolatry ayon sa Catechism.

"Idolatry is a perversion of man’s innate religious sense. An idolater is someone who ‘transfers his indestructible notion of God to anything other than God’" (CCC 2114).

Although I'm sure may mga mag-qu-quote ng Exodus, Leviticus, etc at sasabihing ang idolatry ay strictly pag-bow sa sculptures.

Kung ano ang ginawa kina St. Paul, ganun pa rin ang nangyayari sa mga Christians.

I think this whole idol thing promotes superstitions and backwardness. You're supposed to be blessed and be cured once you touch the figurine.

Also, the number of marathon repeat prayers could do lots of wonders and miracles for you, so much so making the sun dance around the sky.

The devotees are so obsessed with these so called sacred figurines that they imagined the heads turning and every toast bread and fogs in the windows could mean an apparition of the blessed virgin. They even put candles on it and pray repeatedly like some shaman.

The most creepiest thing is seeing those figurines with blood tears which reminds me of a goth:

It's so easy to fool these catholic devotees with their twisted warped minds thinking that these objects could bring wealth and health.

If that is true, having 95% RC population in the Philippines, we don't need doctors anymore and go to work. We just pray to a mama mary with blood figurine or touch a neegro Jesus.

Did anyone who did this ever got rich or ever got cured? Is the country the wealthiest nation on Earth? Did these figurine protected the devotees from typhoons and floods? Or, maybe mama mary is deaf or sleeping?

Bullocks. No wonder the country is so poor.
