grocery item review

meron bang blog about review of grocery items? More of like grocerygems.blogspot.com

It all started when I tried Mama Sita's Bacolod Style Chicken Inasal Marinade. 2 weeks ago na yun pero hindi ko talaga makalimutan. At bakit kamo? sobrang di masarap! as in! lasang chemical sobra. I mean, its pre-packed and it really has preservatives etc etc pero iba talaga! Pinilit na lang namin ubusin yun chicken kasi sayang. we marinade the chicken overnite in the ref as suggested for better taste. then used stove top griddle to cook it. did i do something wrong? puro good reviews naman over the internet.

most of their marinade turns the chicken dark after cooking. not sure if it has sugar in the mix.

speaking of inasal marinade, has anyone tried the McCormick variety?

that should be a good sign that it's healthy and natural, right?

Ang mahal din kasi ng mga organic ingredients and natural spices.

Para ka na rin kumain sa labAs kasi.

I guess, going healthy, also has its price.

Parang masyadong malawak itong topic dahil napakaraming mabibili sa grocery pero I'll try kung tama yung naisip ko.

Mama Sita's Palabok mix: really bad. Doesn't even taste like palabok sauce. Mas masarap pa yung mga palabok sa jollyjeep at mga carinderia.

But on the other hand, mas masarap para sa amin ang litson sauce ng Mama Sita's kesa sa Mang Tomas.

I don't always go organic. I go local. They are often nicer than grocery bought foods.

I make sure I always eat natural food. The less processed they are, the longer I will live.

the discussion can be limited to one item or brand per a month.

consider Mama Sita's Inasal Marinade and other competing brands as the grocery item for the month of October

I tried the Mama Sita Adobo mix when I saw it in an oriental store here, it was kadiri

I like the Lee Kum Kee sauces though. Favorite is the Sauce for Fried Cod Fillet, too bad it's not available in Manila

I like using that along with Cumin. Turmeric gives the rice good color, no? parang ang sarap lalo. We stopped using the Maggi Ginisa Mix and yun mga synthetic instant flavor pouches kasi puro msg lang yata mga yun.

it is not for fried rice but mccormick has 3-rice (mix) cookers. these are the biryani, hainanese, and nasi lemak.
