All religious and/or thinking folks, let us get together to do expeditions instead of just talking.
Here is the background of the present thread:
If you are an ex-Christian or ex-Catholic or an INC adherent,, or Buddhist, or whatever, who do thinking about religious and philosophical ideas and practices, let us get together to do expeditions instead of just talking and talking and talking uselessly.
Email me, mdejess(at)gmail.com.
Or we can already talk in this thread on what we will do in the way of expeditions, like for example, visiting a Buddhist temple and observe the activities there and the folks there, perhaps also savoring their veggie dishes -- yes they also have meals in particular activities; or attend an INC worship service.
And this invitation is also addressed to atheists.
Here is the background of the present thread:

This forum is a good venue to get folks together to do expeditions, instead of just talking.
Please email me at mdejess(at)gmail.com, if you have contacts with dwarves (duwende), so that we can get to know them like you do and interact with them; and also if you have any contacts with any entities at all who can interact with us living humans, or at least be seen by us.
Email me, mdejess(at)gmail.com.

Medyo nalito ako doon, Catholics lang ang mga Christians eh. Ang Born Againism ay nagsimula lang noong 1970's. Walang Pastor o Born Again gatherings praying praying closed eyes... iyak iyak cry cry noong 1960's. Walang bautismong born again noong 1960's. Parang sinabi mo lahat ng Mohammedan at Muslim, eh pareho lang naman yan.0

By the name Christian -- and I understand and I believe it is the common standard understanding, the word refers to anyone who takes Jesus Christ of the New Testament as his religious leader.
So, anyone at all who takes Jesus Christ the number 1 protagonist of the New Testament to be his religious leader, and wants to imitate Him and live like Him or according to his teachings, and even cares to bring other humans to become also His followers in any way, but specially following Him as their religious leader: that anyone and everyone is a Christian.
Or I will just take up the online free Merriam-Webster dictionary of the English language, here is the meaning of the word Christian:Merriam-Webster wrote:1Christian
noun \ˈkris-chən, ˈkrish-\
: a person who believes in the teachings of Jesus Christ
Full Definition of CHRISTIAN
1 a : one who professes belief in the teachings of Jesus Christ
b (1) : disciple 2 (2) : a member of one of the Churches of Christ separating from the Disciples of Christ in 1906 (3) : a member of the Christian denomination having part in the union of the United Church of Christ concluded in 1961

I appreciate your concern with who are entitled to the name of Christian; but I think your meaning is overly restricted, it is not the common standard meaning of the word Christian.
I myself am thinking of founding my own group of Christians, and I will call my group of Christians as Free Independent DIY Christians (DIY = Do It Yourself), and we will meet in the food courts of shopping malls.
What do you say, care to become a member of the prospective Free Independent DIY Christians?0 -
Okay 'yan, buo tayo committee tapos kapag pumasa sa 'tin bigyan natin ng Certification, parang ISO ba.0

Free Independent DIY Christians:
The Free there means there is no restriction against you joining or you leaving, or you returning, or you attending any meeting anytime and anywhere you care (where and when you can get others or there are others for you to meet with).
And Free also means you can leave anytime in the midst of a get-together at the food court of a shopping mall, for any reason at all -- and return if you care.
And Free also means no collection whatever of money from your pocket or wallet or bank account: you don't pay for anything or any service whatsoever, except if and when you order foods or drinks from the eateries in the food court.
The Independent in the name of the group means you are not subject to the authority or control whatsoever of anyone or any committee in the group in any matter.
What about DIY? It means you decide for yourself what doctrines and disciplines you want to bind yourself to, provided you can explain on reason and facts that a doctrinal statement or a disciplinary observance is not against Jesus Christ's teachings and examples.
For more questions, we can discuss them and concur on them, if and when we do if ever get together to meet in a fast food court.0 -
I am really flabbergasted* (with a new but dismaying discovery) that people here would rather talk than act.
This thread, "All religious and/or thinking folks, let us get together to do expeditions... " started on Sept. 29, 2014 at 05:20 AM; to date as I write this post, Oct. 1, 2014 Wed. 04:32 AM, there have been 88 readers visiting, but no one seems to be keen on doing expeditions instead of just talking and talking and talking uselessly.
Anyway, I am still waiting for adventurous folks to join me in expeditions, unless we here are all customarily talkative but inert when it comes to action.*As if struck dumb with astonishment and surprise
[e.g.] "the flabbergasted aldermen were speechless"

You are not getting my idea at all.

Hope you get my idea this time.
This kind of Christianity will give us the greatest flxibility without sacrificing what we will determine to be each one of us what it is to follow Jesus Christ.0 -
