Stuck Hand brake problem!

Hi guys...

So I have this 2006 Nissan Sentra from my dad. Hindi ko pa sya officially nagagamit. Pero since hindi ko pa nagagamit, hinihiram muna ng tito ko. The problem is, nung binalik nya 2 weeks ago, ngayon ko palang itatry ulet magpractice ng driving. Pero ayun nga, hindi ako nakapagdrive kasi ndi ko marelease yung handbrake. The lever is stuck. The button is also stuck. Can't press the button, can't lift the lever up to push it down para ma release ang handbrake. Anybody know how to fix this? Or bakit sya nastuck? TIA.

Its highly unlikely that the there's something broken. Get a small hammer and lightly tap the release button.
