Buying a 2nd hand car, FORD FOCUS TDCI 2.0 AT or or Honda City 1.3 A/T SUGGESTIONS :)

Hi planning to buy a 2nd hand car. Pinagpipilian ko nalang kung ano ba mas makakatipid ako
2010 FORD FOCUS TDCI 2.0 A/T which is 480k or 2008 Honda city 1.3 A/T which is 340k.
Yung focus kasi DIESEL pero 2.0 while yung city naman GAS pero 1.3? Ano sa tingin niyo guys?

mas matipid daw ang Gas in the long run, pero hindi ko pa nasubukan, since diesel cars na kami ever since.

Mas bago bago yung Ford Focus, but sa mga reviews, mas matibay ang honda cars.

Ang maganda diyan, magsama ka ng trusted mekaniko mo, tignan ang dalawang sasakyan, kung sino ang mas maganda pa ang parts, yun ang kunin mo, depende kasi yun sa owner kung maalaga sa sasakyan.

@exgirlfriend Thanks sa input! Nakita ko kasi halos same lang displacement ng both pero yun nga mas matipid sa gas diesel kaso mas mahal talaga yung focus and nakakatakot baka mahal maintenance ng focus

Obviously diesel is the way to go.

But as what Exgirlfriend said, it depends on the wear and tear of the car. Since 2nd hand siya, kailangan mong icheck yung history ng car, yung kung pano siya imaintain ng may-ari.

And yes, it's best to bring a mechanic with you to check the car. Road test mo na din. Baka akala mo naka tipid ka na sa focus kasi diesel, nun pala ang daming ipapagawa.

With the condition of both being equal, between the two I'd get the Honda. The Honda would be easier to maintain with more mechanics being familiar with it. Parts are plentiful as well for the Honda. If you're on a budget then you have to be practical and the Honda for me is a practical choice.
