Atheism is defined as: disbelief or lack of belief in the existence of God or gods. So can the atheist please define or tell us the characteristics of the God or gods they don't believe in? Surely you have an idea of the kind of God or gods you don't believe in di ba or you wouldn't be atheist in the first place :rotflmao:?

  • What kind of question is that? It makes about as much as sense as asking me to identify the characteristics of unicorns and leprechauns.

Allow me to put it some other way: If you're an atheist, then you disbelieve in the existence of God or gods right? So surely you have an idea what a God is or god are right? You mentioned unicorns and leprechauns. Again surely you know what they are or even have an idea of what they are even if you don't believe that they exist. Right?

Example: Unicorn - something which looks like a white horse with a horn projecting from its forehead - right? Describing it doesn't mean you believe in its existence bro.

So can you tell us about the God you don't believe in? So can you tell us what your idea of God is/are the existence of which you doubt?

Quetzalcoatl /ˌkɛtsɑːlˈkoʊɑːtəl/ (Classical Nahuatl: Quetzalcohuātl [ketsaɬˈko.aːtɬ]) is a Mesoamerican deity whose name comes from the Nahuatl language and means "feathered serpent".[1] The worship of a feathered serpent is first documented in Teotihuacan in the first century BCE or first century CE.[2] That period lies within the Late Preclassic to Early Classic period (400 BCE – 600 CE) of Mesoamerican chronology, and veneration of the figure appears to have spread throughout Mesoamerica by the Late Classic (600–900 AD).[3]

I fail to see the utility of the question. Asking me to describe the characteristics of a god doesn't have anything to do with the reason why I don't believe in that god or any other god.

I don't believe in unicorns even if you describe it as being a white horse with a horn projecting from its forehead or if another person describes it as a rainbow colored horse.

I don't believe in leprechauns even if you told me that one lives at the end of the rainbow in Ireland guarding a pot of gold or if Brian Kelly says one lives at the end of the rainbow in South Bend guarding a megaphone. (Although if you get what I just wrote, you'd understand why I'd be more apt to believe the latter. And bonus points for you if you do.)

If I was to say a god was a hot young guy slinging around a hammer and you say that a god is a burning bush, where does that lead us? Like you said, you can't describe things into existence.

So you don't have even an inkling of an idea of what God is/are?

So what to you is a unicorn? Is that too difficult for you to answer? If you don't know what it is then why use the word? :rotflmao:

At least now we know you don't believe in a leprechaun living at the end of a rainbow guarding a pot of gold. I don't believe in Leprechauns as well. So at least you have an idea what it is. We're making progress :rotflmao:

Well I am not here to argue about what your God is supposed to be. Why so defensive? lols. I have already given you an example of the kind of God I don't believe in. So if it is very hard for you then why bother to post in this thread? Can I just then request for you to leave this thread alone? lols. Di ba? Di mo pala kaya sagutin yung tanong then don't strain yourself ok? lols

provided that Spartan's really an atheist, it shows the absurdity and irrationality of his atheism.

baket? what specific qualities and personality traits of Quetzalcoatl that you dont like?
  • I dont believe in a supposed God who has fits of jealousy. For it is a weakness and a sign of insecurity.

I dont believe in a supposed God who asks for help. Example: "help allah" as written in the koran.

I dont believe in a supposed God who has no sense of humor.

It has probably something to do with my Christian upbringing with the serpent being associated with Satan. Worship of mesoamerican dieties also entails human sacrifice. In my christian background - the God sacrifice themselves for humans :naughty: and not the other way around.
  • sus parehas lang yun self sacrifice is equivalent to human sacrifice.....tanong mo pa kay christ.
