Electronic Spare Parts / Supply for DIY (Do It Yourself) Projects

Hi, anyone know of a good electronic spare parts/supply store?
I've been scouring sulit/olx and ebay.ph for the following specific parts, but most of them will come from abroad.
Most of the "electronics store" I encounter sell gadgets and appliances.

Traditional hardware stores don't carry these items.
I know I can source them locally, be it in Quiapo/Raon. I just have to figure out where exactly there.

12V DC Motor (I think this is similar to a Tamiya dynamo)

Battery box/compartent

Timing belt and pulleys

Reverse polarity switch

Or better yet, a Celestron Astromaster motor drive

This is for a DIY motorized camera slider if you may want to ask. Any inputs about where to buy them are highly appreciated. :)

Thank you.

  • For the electronics, Alexan. Everything from single-components (resistors, capacitors) to microcontrollers to training kits to modular systems.

No idea about the mechanical parts, locally. They seem very application-specific. Might have to have them machined or 3D printed. Generic gears you can order from McMaster-Carr.

Back in the day, it was difficult to order from McMaster so we'd hack together our hardware for prototypes. If you take apart a dot-matrix printer you will find a belt, gear and motor. The motor will probably not have enough torque so either you gear it down or get a bigger motor. One of our favorite sources for motors was old floppy drives which have stepper motors. You will need a control circuit but after that it's pretty simple.

Hey man, thanks. Alexan was also mentioned to me by a colleague. Will visit their Raon branch this weekend, and maybe check other stores there. I was beginning to try taking apart my old photo printer but I'm aiming to share this DIY, so I'm trying to use accessible parts as much as possible.
