free parking if you are from that city.

though what i do not like is that.. they have to ask for the senior card mismo.
ayaw nilang tanggapin ang lisensya or anything that proves youre a senior.

but seniors in the states automatically get discount no need for id. just need to look old. LoL.

plus the senior price is like half priced there..
and they have plenty of handicapped parking and ramps.

    - 20% VAT exempted on the purchase of drugs, private doctor/dental/lab fees, land and air transportation fare, hotel services, theatre and their own funeral and burial

    - free medical/dental/lab fees in government facilities

    - free flu and pneumonia vaccine

    - allowance for those pursuing or intendin to pursue undergrad/graduate/trade school

    - 5% discount on electricity and water bills

    - minimum wage earners are exempt from paying tax

Where I live, aside from medical and dental, they get low rent, and some dollas for home renovations... Handicapped parking spots are for HANDICAPPED people. Not all old people are handicapped. I do see people givin up their seat at the front for old people. Gosh not everyone is rude.

Libre din daw ang tuli :rotfl:
  • My parents are both in their 60's and so far sabi nila puro discounts lang. Nothing is actually given "free". Even the free parking.. wala yan. Yeah may discount sa sinehan, a few pesos discount on medication, check up and that's about it. It's not like the health care system abroad like Canada and France, universal healthcare sila. Ganito ka ganda system nila.. when I got very ill when I was in France and underwent an operation it was free at ayaw pa nila ako pa alisin dahil gusto nila gumaling ako. In Canada naman as long as naka register ka that you need this type of medication all you have to do is walk in a drug store and show id and they'll give it to you, no payment. Just goes to show how far we have yet to go compared to other countries.

    free parking exists.

again, it only applies to malls where your address is from.

ie Quezon city, libre sa eastwood, sa north edsa, trinoma. etc
manila - lucky chinatown mall, robinson's manila.. etc

    like sylvannos or wilderness..

i know its based on our elders that were aware.

my dad, he just got his, this year, tamang tama nga sa paguwi ko nung marso.

na kaka take out sya ng isang buong pizza for us, na discounted, isang buong savory or Max's chicken, and isang bilao ng malabon. :hiya:

pag kumain kayo sa resto, separate ang meal nya to be discounted.

kaya we rather take out ng isang order.

as to the sine, its not free, may discount on Mondays and Tuesdays daytime.

    sa gamot din ata.

take goodness it would take another 3 1/2 decades before I get to use this. :D

@artie, nalalapit na ba ang emancipation mo. :glee: baka gusto mo kaming kitain minsan i-treat mo naman kami. :hiya:

pero medyo abuso ang tao though.

i have seen people asking really old people to lineup at jollibee and purchase the food for the whole table (or take out).. and maraming pagkain talaga.. kahit ako mahihirapang magbuhat.

    wth..
  • nikkilovenikkilove PEx Influencer ⭐⭐⭐

wag abusuhin, baka mamya, ma cancel yan or patawan ng limit or ilang serbisyo, like gamot na lang,

or P50/ combo meal a day na lang. :glee:

    Pinatawa mo ko, waheehee.

Pero seriously, kahit walang senior citizen card ay puwede pa rin maka-avail ng discount by just showing a gov't ID like driver's license or passport - yung may date of birth. This was tested and attested by Atty. Romulo Macalintal.

Some establishments like SM and Globe, may priority line for senior citizens. :bop:

hahaha.. how could it be free sa mga malls that you mentioned??? My sister has stores based there and even she doesn't have free parking. My parents drop by the stores once a week at wala free parking sinasabi mo.
  • BeerhandBopBeerhandBop PEx Influencer ⭐⭐⭐
her store is in the mall. NOT ONCE HAVE YOU MENTIONED kung anong address ang nasa senior citizen card ng magulang mo.

again. manila senior citizen card, free parking sa manila malls
quezon city senior citzen card, free parking sa QC.

here you go.. it's just an excerpt but i think i made my point clear on the matter.

i got that from a dated editorial

Quezon City senior citizens are still complaining of the lack of consistency in the implementation of free parking for them.

In August last year, Mayor Herbert Bautista and the Quezon City Council passed Ordinance No. SP 2081 “exempting all senior citizens of Quezon City from the payment of initial rate for parking fees in establishments, malls, hospitals, parking areas, or any similar places within the territorial jurisdiction of the city and providing penalties for violations thereof.”

Today, a year after the city council passed this ordinance; most establishments in Quezon City have been cooperating well in the implementation of the law. However, there is one firm that insists on having its own interpretation of the law, saying that it is reserving only a limited number of parking slots for senior citizens and when these slots are occupied, senior citizens would have to pay the normal parking fees.
