    metro manila has its charms.

anything you want to do, pwede and meron.
feel mong mag swimming.. beaches are 2 hours away. or if in a condo, an elevator ride away.

you want brothels and gentlemen clubs, meron din.
    you want casino, meron..

From time to time ang nagpo-post ako ng comment sa FB ng MMDA.

Metro Manila would be much better, less the pollution, the congestion, the garbage, the condemned bldgs, the shanties, and the regular flood during rainy season.

in fairness, seeing Metro Manila after 4 years just this March, gave me a pleasant surprise.

that area of Global, is really great, para kang nasa Amerika, so are Ortigas, Eastwood and Ayala.

when I showed my pics to my american friends when i went back, they thought it was Singapore or Seoul.

I told them, no, no, no, that's the republic of la islas Filipinas. :hiya:

that's the impression they have due to our kababayans, who love to brag about our country's poverty and miserable conditions, thinking it'll make them a hit and bida among caucasians. :glee:
  • Manila lang yata ang city sa mundo na may 2 active volcano within 100km radius (Pinatubo and Taal). Meron din lake (Laguna), bay (Manila Bay), River (Pasig and marikina). :)

    This.

There's a tendency among some to highlight only the poverty stricken areas, para bang wala ng magandang tanawin sa MM.
  • I find Metro Manila more bearable compared to QC. that is always in the headlines in the newspaper due to its rampant crime rates and random troubles there. We used to live in Sampaloc before moving in for good in the south

uhh.... qc is part of metro manila..

infact is the biggest city in metro manila.
  • ^ I stand corrected, specifically Manila pala
  • BeerhandBopBeerhandBop PEx Influencer ⭐⭐⭐
manila is one of the worst parts of metro manila. it is only better than maybe pasig.

    what are you talking about?

    qc? it's the best.

    wide roads, level headed mayors.
    free street parking almost anywhere

think of it this way: people from Manila exodus'd into QC when they finally banked enough money to buy a house and lot and vehicles.

QC is part of Metro Manila, baka naman you're referring to Manila, the city.
  • cretinous00cretinous00 PEx Influencer ⭐⭐⭐
one thing you can say about manila, the grid road pattern and zero-inclination everywhere is easy on your car during traffic. i hate hanging traffic in qc along the fly-overs. the horror roads were the one near valle-verde in pasig, the libis entry road before the fly-over was built, and the king's point in quirino, novaliches. the horror!
  • BeerhandBopBeerhandBop PEx Influencer ⭐⭐⭐
yea. everywhere in manila is LOW.. kaya nga bahain e. lawlzies.
  • gates of hell

Sorry but I'm disagree to you.

I like wide roads, so QC does it for me. Plus, much of Manila is way too crowded. West Sampaloc (i.e. that part of Sampaloc west of Espana Blvd.) is quite OK though.

pinakiggan ko yung song sa youtube video

    parang gusto kong maging lyrics

    "gusto ko ang metro manila,
    kahit na marmaing basura"

    hehehe
  • All places has its own ups and downs.

Depende talaga iyan sa personality mo. The laid back people tend to like the countryside while the outgoing and aggressive tend to like the city.

I like city-life despite the traffic and crowd. There's always something new. New mall, new restaurant, new entertainment venues, new people to meet.
