Oil pressure blinking when i start my car.Help! Whats wrong kaya?

When i start my car mga boss which is a Civic 99 lxi the oil pressure blinks then mawawala nalang pag engine is turned on. Is there something wrong kaya mga sir? Insights is greatly apreciated. Thanks sirs!

If it turns off after a few seconds, ok lang yan. Pero just to be sure, check your oil-level (do you know how and where to check it?). Also when was the last time you had an oil change/PMS?

YEs sir after 2 seconds nawawala din naman. Change oil? Last year February. But i used the Synthetic oil that could last 10k daw. And basing on the readings sa odometer la pang 10k. So im just little worried baka theres something seriously wrong with my engine. Thanks sir!

Having the oil light come on when starting and having it disappear doesn't sound unusual. Be worried when it comes on while driving and then the check engine light comes on. I wouldn't really let any oil sit in my vehicle for 10,000 kms unless the filter I was using is really good. But then again, I'd probably still change it before that. Oil and filters are cheaper than having a damaged engine.

Yes sir Of course. Just freaked out when i saw some thread about oil pressure blinking indicates oil is low and if you keep driving it will eventually cause your engine to knock and as a result engine overhaul something like that. So will definitively bring my car sa shop to have it checked and para makapag change oil na din. Thanks mga bossing!
Actually nakap long drive pa nga ako sa Isabela thats 12 hour drive smooth naman. And never ko nakita ng blink when driving pag start lang.:D

Kaka-change oil lang pala ng synthetic, sayang naman kung wala pa naman 10k km. Think of the oil light, check engine, battery, ABS, etc. blinking during startup as the ECU turning on the sensors. Its normal.
