mga sir. ask ko lang bago palit kasi ako ng car battery. luma na rin kasi yun dati eh (2yrs) at hard-starting na. ngayon nakapagpalit na ako ganun pa din mahirap magstart. ano pa kaya reason bakit ganon? tnx.

sir carb siya.. pinacheck ko na siya ang prob ay madumi ang distributor, kelangan ng palitan ang fuel pump (due to tagas) and palitan na rin daw dapat ang tension wires. sir K.I.L.L. anything na may maisusuggest k?

So it's an old school petrol. Most mechanics would know how to tinker with that. Where are you having it checked? I can imagine you will most likely uncover more problems as you go. Try not to modify it and keep everything stock. The parts you mentioned aren't expensive but you might as well check your fuel system, check for brittle hoses and check your ignition / electrical system.

Easy fix. Go to Banawe and buy the parts yourself. You can either go for replacement plug wires or surplus. Should not cost more than 1k. Although how can a fuel pump leak? Baka yung mga fuel hose lang. They're cheap and readily available as well.

Also check the supply cables, grounding wires and battery terminals. There should be a good contact.

salamat guys sa mga helpful tips. at least nagka-idea ako kung ano possible prob talaga bago ko dalhin sa mekaniko. di rin ako confident sa DIY baka pumalpak. mejo luma na rin kasi auto ko. salamat ulit.

hard starting na naman yung corolla ko. palit na ako air filter, linis ng carb, bago tension wires, bago fuel filter, changed oil, spark plugs. may kinalaman kaya yung choke dito or ignition coil? sakit na ng ulo't bulsa ko eh.

These are the some reasons why a car have problem in starting.

1. bad spark plug
2. bad wires
3. bad rotor
4. bad distributor cap
5. bad ignition coil
6. fuel pump could be malfunctioning
7. fuel filter could be clog
8. fuel accumulator could be faulty already
9. faulty fuel pump relay
10. fuel in the tank could be dirty 11. weak battery
12. dirty or corroded battery terminals
13. bad starter
14. loose wiring connection between battery, starter and alternator

Tingnan mo din sa loob ng distributor cap baka napupod na yon rotor sa loob non
Alisin mo lang ang cover non makikita mo na

Sinunod mo ba diagnostic sayo? Pinagawa mo yung distributor at pinalitan yung fuel pump?

Anyway, hard starting ba siya sa unang start? or kahit mainit na yung makina hard starting pa din? Baka kailangan mo ipacheck yung ignition mo.

di ko p napapacheck.. hard-starting siya matagal di ginamit. Pero pagmainit makina ayos ****
