Shirt for men

Saan bang atore nakakakita ng magagandang shirt? It could be collared, round neck, or v neck. Naghahanap kasi ako ng simpleng shirt lang, as much as possible kaunti lang yung design sa shirt.

Which of the many brands do you prefer?

I like simple ones from American Apparel, Banana Republic and Hanes. Hanes are my disposable ones. I don't care if they get stained at all.

AA offers the best and current fit for my body type. BR is decent. J Crew is okay. I don't pay attention to American Eagle/ Abercrombie anymore. Their designs are far too juvenile for me.

Calvin Klein slim fits, Lululemon, are also good.

I loathe Nike and Ralph Lauren plain tees.

Ralph Lauren-mahal na dito sa Macy's but very high quality and jackets nila.
  • The wonderful thing about Hanes T-Shirts is that its thick enough to be worn by itself and most importantly the collar doesn't turn into bacon. The latter is a rare feature among plain t-shirts. Even my Hugo Boss turned bacon eventually.

Hanes is the most durable brand I think. I have a white shirt that's already around 6 years old it's still alright. My Gildans are showing signs of wear na.

The downside lang with Hanes is that it's more for medium-big built people. If might look too baggy if you're slim.

Thoe are not high quality. Those are mass produced like Hanes and FotL. Between RL and Hanes, I pick Hanes for fit and comfort.

The high quality Ralph Lauren products are made in America and it is not sold in department stores. lol.

What kind of shirt? Tees? Dress shirt? Long-sleeved? Polo shirts?

Are you going to wear them for office?
  • The best quality plain tees I owned were Made in Japan which I bought in Taiwan. They were as durable as Hanes shirts with a slimmer fit and a silkier texture.

As a general rule I really don't buy plain t-shirts above P500. You can already buy a decent oxford button down at a little above 1k.
  • Better to check it online the design of shirt that you want. Then search for the brand. Then visit the store once you find it.
  • If you want quality shirts try MUJI, Forever 21, Uniqlo, Banana Republic and Old Navy stores. These stores are expensive.

If you want dirt cheap ones, try Centris tiangge behind McDonald's. They are only open on Sundays from 5AM to 2:30PM. Best to go there real early to avoid the heat. They do sell some imported shirts and overruns. You just have to go from stall to stall to stall to see what the vendors have available to meet your needs and budget.

Of course, you can also try Greenhills Mall for quality knock-offs. There are imported shirts at Shoppesville which is part of Greenhills Mall.

Old Navy? Uniqlo? lol. All those brands mentioned are not quality. They are ok at best.
