Lumang SUV - What to buy

Hi Sirs,
Magandang araw. I am planning on buying a second hand SUV, kaso medyo tight yung budget.
Ano po ba the best based on fuel consumption, maintenance, and iba pang factors.
Sensya na po dami ko tanong. La kasi ko gaanong alam sa mga sasakyan so I'm hoping somebody from this thread can help. Thanks ng madami.

You are in the price range of the old vitara. But if you had 50k more you can opt for the better 1st gen sorento. I'd prefer the sorento because it has 4wd on the fly and I was a previous owner and was quite satisfied with it.. very grunty and could leave the likes of alterra and even the 3.0L fortuner(which I also own).0

mahirap ang 300K sa SUV, kahit pa luma yan, baka meron nga pero super laspag na yan kaya ganyan ang value.
how about an adventure?0 -
I agree with what's been suggested. An AUV would fit your budget and provide you with more space and higher ground clearance. Parts are plentiful for the adventure, revo and crosswind and the technology used in them is such that most tree shade mechanics would know how to get them running again easily.0

^correct.
just bring a good and trusted mechanic to assess the car first, para hindi ka talo.0 -

What do you consider as a gas guzzler? I only have experience with the 2nd generation and the latest one. The 2nd generation we had was roughly 7km/l. The 4th generation we have is almost 10km/l so fuel efficiency has greatly improved as well as the pulling power.0 -
makiki OT na rin po..
what are the things I need to watch-out when maintaning a gen1 crv? recently lang daw kasi natune-up sabi ng bro-in-law ko, sorry newbie here 3weeks pa lang sakin yung unit.TIA sa mga magrereply0
