why do probinsyanos move to the city?

In the province, everything grows everywhere. There's plenty of food. Why do they choose to move to the city when they can easily live off of the land in the province?? Is it because they want to have a nice cell phone and computer??

There are more opportunities in the city. Nope, you can't live off the land especially if you don't own the land you work in.

  • the Philippines is one of the most fertile places on Earth. Everything grows without effort. Anybody who starves in the Philippines must be lazy or not paying attention to all the edible things around them. I think in the city there are less edible things for free

  • Few jobs, most of jobs are concentrated in major cities

Yes, there's just one problem here. Land is expensive. you also need land and irrigation to grow your own food. and in the dry season, how will you grow your own food without rain in the summer months. implementation of the land reform also sucks

well, nobody needs electricity. The problem with Filipinos is that that they think that electricity, a computer, a cell phone, and a TV are necessities. No, food is the main necessity and it's plentiful in the Philippines, unlike in Africa.

umm.. ts.. try to live in the province or a small town.. the whole town or province is usually owned by one or a few families who are well entrenched with their goons and henchmen.. if you do not have the correct last name.. then you will be a farmer with no other opportunities. probinsyanos are not really leaving their provinces.. rather escaping.

you need to experience how oppressive it can get in these places far from Manila... maybe you can move their and start a rebellion against the established families... help spread opportunity if you think it's all nice and easy.
  • Monotonous, mountainous  nagpapatawa tong si tddyakol
