Are you considering the manual or automatic transmission variants? If a/t, neither are fuel efficient so to speak. What is the reason also why you need a tall ride? If it's for consideration to flood and bad road conditions, the Jimny is the better option; if it's just because you want a taller ride height and you need to carry 3-4 passengers plus packages on a regular basis, the Avanza is a more versatile vehicle.
  • Manual transmission. City driving and for tagaytay errands. Which is better for a lady driver?
  • K.I.L.L.
K.I.L.L. My brain only has 512mb!

For errands? If you need the space for groceries and the occasional sack or two of vegetables and fruits, then the Avanza is better. The Jimny is perfect if you're single and usually drive by yourself or with just another person. I think the Avanza would win on fuel efficiency and space but the Jimny would win on ruggedness, off-road capability and going through shallow floods.
  • Avanza would be more practical.

If manual transmission, FC concerned, and you need the space, Avanza. If you don't really need the tall ride height, a Vios would still be better though (more fuel efficient, better comfort and better crash protection it seems).

Personally i'd get the Jimny though. :D
  • I am actually leaning towards the jimny *okay* pwede pang off road pwede i-modify disadvantage lang is that it is much shorter than avanza. Wala naman extra passengers gusto ko lang talaga mataas na ride
  • Also useful pag may baha problem lang talaga is yung cargo space ng jimny. I currently use a 2010 swift m/t so no need na for a vios :)
  • maybe you can consider chevy spin. diesel. fuel efficient yan
